05 LGT 5MT Axle seal issues?

A few weeks ago I replaced my passenger side cv joint. It went fine, no issues. However the other week I noticed an oil puddle under my car and sure enough, the passenger side axle seal was leaking. I replaced the seal, and checked the dipstick and there was no oil on the dipstick. I added about a quart and a half (3 pints) of gear oil and checked underneath and now for some reason, the fluid is just pouring out of the driver side axle seal even though that one was fine when I checked it. I have a pan underneath catching it and so far it looks like it dropped about a pint and the flow seems to have slowed down to almost nothing and my dipstick now registers oil at just about the full line. I need my car for work tomorrow and I dont know if I can drive it under these conditions without frying my trans. Did I overfill it? Blow out my driver side seal in the process somehow? Is there an issue with overfilling manual trannys even though they aren't a hydraulic system like automatics?

Well I took a look underneath at the driver side axle seal to see what was wrong. The seal looked fine but then I noticed something strange. It seems my driver side axle popped out about an inch or so. I have no idea how this happened. I know I removed the passenger side axle yesterday to replace the seal but it seems highly unlikely the passenger side axle somehow popped the driver side out. Unfortuneatly its too late to set up shop in my driveway and pull everything apart to play trouble shoot now.

Sounds about right, not sure why it popped out unless it wasn't fully in in the first place.

I'm guessing its the oe axle. I've owned for the car for 6 and a half years and never touched the axle. I popped it back in and filled the trans back up and so far so good.
