PaSprinter24 Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 hey guys well I pulled out of my driveway in 1st and went to put it into second and it wouldn't engage along with 4th and reverse. Now I just put a cobb sts in along with both bushings. I checked the washer on the front shifter bushing and its not rubbing anything and the rear bushing looks fine. any ideas would be appreciated. thanks
SpecBFan Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 I would check the trim under the shift boot. I'm pretty sure you need to trim that with the Cobb STS. At least that's what I remember reading. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
GEE-OTTO Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 When you shift to 2nd can you feel it contacting the metal surrounding the shifter coutout? Since you can't engage any of the gears on the back if the gear pattern it seems you simply need to adjust things. Try removing the metal surround and shifting into all gears as make sure the shifter isn't in backwards sounds crazy but it happens:redface:
PaSprinter24 Posted December 29, 2013 Author Posted December 29, 2013 I had the shifter in for about 4 weeks and then put the bushings in 2 weeks later and everything worked ok. it seems like wen I put it in third gear that's were neutral is suppose to be if that makes any sense
