Turkeylord Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 (edited) http://i.imgur.com/axAed3D.jpg ***Update! Tees now available from Company23!*** You've probably seen the threads, or maybe even had the issue yourself - vacuum lines popping off the stock plastic "blue tee" under the intercooler. The combination of oil in the lines, no barb, and boost makes this tee a common trouble spot for '05-'06 Legacy GTs and other Subaru models. The lines slip off the tee resulting in a vacuum/boost leak and all of the related issues. I went out looking for a suitable replacement and came up with this. I began selling these as a homebrew vendor here with the blessing of the mods. http://i.imgur.com/DK7vjfA.jpg http://i.imgur.com/FcBcagp.jpg Construction: The tees are nickel plated brass and should hold up to any abuse you throw their way. They are designed with a single barb on each port for great holding power and a good seal. The tees are made right here in the USA! Company23 will include high quality cable ties to secure your lines to the tee. Pricing: Tees are $8.95 + shipping. Installation: Installation is simple, remove your intercooler (guides elsewhere) and locate the stock tee near the center rear of the intake manifold. Pull the lines off the stock tee and install your new barbed tee. Use the provided cable ties to secure the lines to the tee. I recommend you also cable tie the other end of the inake manifold line to the intake manifold. I've included a fourth cable tie for this purpose. For more information, see Company23's install guide here. Ordering: You may order from Company23 at this link: http://www.company23.com/VacuumT Thank you and happy boosting! http://i.imgur.com/CuIOEZs.jpg DISCLAMER (stolen from BarManBean) I cannot take responsibility in the case of damage to anything on your vehicle that results indirectly or directly from the installation of this modification. Turkeylord Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 (edited) Hey again! I'm back with new 1/4" EBCS fittings! These are mainly intended for those of us going stage 3 and finding that our new turbos have 1/4" fittings instead of the smaller stock size. These fittings are manufactured with the same quality and attention to detail as the tees above. They will fit any MAC valve based EBCS like the GrimmSpeed, COBB, or AEM. http://i.imgur.com/WCOG1Ua.jpg I've had some help from a few members to test fit these guys, huge thank you to Saltysubie and discojon for your help! Saltysubie posted some great pics & a writeup on the new fittings here! Please see his post for pics of the EBCS installed in an alternate "COBB style" location. Fittings installed in the EBCS http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=174493&d=1391970194 EBCS installed in the car http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=174496&d=1391970703 And a pic showing the line to alternator clearance http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=174497&d=1391970703 Here's the breakdown on the inlet port fittings. Option 1: Use the EBCS's stock 1/8" straight fitting.+ Free - Line goes out over alternator - Line has a reducer inline (potential leak) Option 2: 1/4" 90 fitting. Add you own 1/4" vac line.+ No alternator clearance issues - Need to stretch 1/4 vac line onto 3/8" inlet port Option 3: 3/8" 90 fitting. Add your own 3/8" vac (or fuel) line.+ No reducer needed + No stretch needed - Fitting is bulky, may contact alternator Here's a pic I took of the EBCS with the 3/8" 90 installed on an 08+ WRX. It was resting on the alternator case. http://i.imgur.com/P4YtoQFl.jpg Construction: The fittings are nickel plated brass and should hold up to any abuse you throw their way. They are designed with a single barb each for great holding power and a good seal. The tees are made right here in the USA! I will include high quality cable ties to secure your lines to the fittings. Pricing: One set of fittings and ties is $20 shipped anywhere in the USA. Payments may be sent via PayPal using the link below. Shipping: The fittings will be shipped USPS First Class with tracking in a padded bubble mailer. Other shipping methods are available at additional cost. Post here or send me a PM to inquire. Installation: You will need to pick up some 1/4" vacuum line at your local parts store. I considered including it, but it would add too much to the shipping costs. Installation is pretty simple - remove your EBCS from the car and remove it's stock fittings. Clean up any sealant left in the ports and install your new fittings. The thread is 1/8" NPT, so you should be able to tighten them one or two turns past finger tight. I'd recommend the use of some sort of thread sealant - just don't go crazy and get too much inside the EBCS body. Re-install using your new 1/4 vacuum line. The new line should stretch and fit the port on your intake, just take your time getting it on there. Cable tie all the connections and you should be good to go. Now enjoy your new reducer-free install! Ordering: The default assortment will be two 90 degree fittings, one straight fitting, teflon tape and six zip ties. Custom orders welcome, if you would like something else please PM me. Please click the PayPal button below to place your order. If you would like to order a tee with your EBCS fittings, please send me a PM! Please be sure to include your LegacyGT.com UserID in the notes! Turkeylord Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 Yes, still needed unless you're redoing all the vac lines ( I don't know why you would).
