chato Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 buy the gates kit (TCKWP328). I got the kit for under $200 a while back on Amazon. Some folks will say to get a factory water pump. The one that came with the kit looked fine to me. Folks will also say to get the factory gasket for the water pump, because the gates paper one sucks. My gates kit came with a factory style gasket.
Max Capacity Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 You can also do what I did back in 2007 for mine, go to the local auto parts store and see what they have, I used a Dayco kit, worked fine, and I supported someone I could talk to if I had issues. Buy Local for something like this. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Engine Build - Click Here
chato Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 its $193 at amazon (was $240 yesterday). [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Gates-TCKWP328-Engine-Timing-Water/dp/B0033DMGP8/ref=pd_ybh_2]Gates TCKWP328 Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump : Amazon.com : Automotive[/ame] And I don't know max, if you are doing the work yourself, I don't think it matter where you get the part. Amazon warranty is def better than my local orielly auto parts.
