Irony is that there's this obsession SUVs, which are basically wagons with a taller beltline and more ground clearance, neither of which typical SUV owners ever need since all they do is drive to and fro to work/soccer practice.

Like the outback and crosstrek? There is the Audi Allroad. I think of those as crossovers based on wagons as you described.

 

SUVs are based on trucks.

 

There are the mini SUVs like Nissan Rogue and the smaller Juke...Honda CRV...Toyota Rav4. I have no clue what beasts they had to mate to get those.

Most SUV are car based now, and even if they are truck based they are still just truck based lifted wagons.

Take a page from older cars, make the wing windows in the doors able to open, that would be nice. I do dislike most new cars, but this would be cool.

 

So we don't like the name? Just put the name Legacy on it and it'll be all good.

I don't anyone expects the name to come over with it IF it does make it here. It'll just be the WRX wagon...or 5-door if they market smart.
