futura
So Ive been having serious idle issues with my legacy. Replaced the inlet after finding a hole but still persists. I was following vacuum lines and stumbled across this one...unplugged? it goes underneath the intake manifold off of a T splitter. http://i44.tinypic.com/5ls8lw.jpg http://i42.tinypic.com/2637fwz.jpg
Max Capacity
can't see the picture here at work, but plug it back in and zip-tie it and all other vacuum hoses. It's something we tell everyone. zip-ties are your friend, along with PB Blaster and anti-seize compound. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. futura
Alright I will ziptie all those other lines. I don't know where to plug this into though haha. It runs off the blue splitter and under the intake manifold.
Moderators BarManBean Posted October 29, 2013 Moderators Share Posted October 29, 2013 I also can't see the pic, but might be able to help. You're saying that the hose is connected to the blue splitter, and then connects to nothing? If it points towards the front of the car, you should be looking for a nipple that is underneath the intake manifold and faces towards the rear of the car. Plug the hose on there. Moderators BarManBean Posted October 29, 2013 Moderators Share Posted October 29, 2013 Just checked your pics on my phone--not sure exactly where you are looking now. Some images look like you are looking under the TMIC area, but others look like you are poking around closer towards the front of the car near the BCS & EVAP purge valve (or whatever it's called, the cylinder with the felt stuff on it). The nipple I was referring to is on the back of the black intake manifold, closer to where the TMIC mounts. Max Capacity
in the back of the service manual there is a picture of the routing of the hoses. Do you have the manual ? I seem to recall around page 5060 or 5600 or 5640 ... not at a PC where I have the manuals saved right now. Here a link to the thread with the manuals. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/wants-see-my-vacation-pixi-6216.html 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs.
