Guest geoldr Posted October 28, 2013 Share Posted October 28, 2013 Hey guys, Having a bit of problems with our 2005 Legacy GT. Just recently the keyfob 'lock doors' button stopped working on both keyfobs. I replaced the battery in both, and both unlock, open truck, and sound alarm, but they can't lock. So to lock all the doors I have to use the switch on the door to lock. Is there some kind of internal receiver that is broken? It's very strange that all the functions work except lock on both remotes. I don't want to take it to a dealer, they will charge lots of money to just look at it. Max Capacity Posted October 28, 2013 Share Posted October 28, 2013 I just had a funny thing like this, at the dealership. They replaced both batteries and still won't work. When I got home all was fine. Others said may be there was some interference in the area. They said after they moved the car all was fine. Give it a shot. Guest geoldr Posted October 28, 2013 Share Posted October 28, 2013 Well the problem has been going on for a couple of weeks, and it's always an issues whether the car is at home, work, store, whatever. So I don't think it has something to do with interference in a specific area. Must be something else. There is a guy about an hour from where I live who is a Subaru specialist so maybe if I can't figure anything out through here, he can help. Thanks for the quick reply though!
