Anthsoriano
So the left turn signal on my 96 outback was acting up. It would go really slow, and then it would go really fast. Sometimes it work normal. The other day my battery died, so I took it out and charged it for 6 hours or so. Put it back in and now there is constant clicking as if the hazard lights are on. The lights will flash for a minute and then it will stop. I tried driving the car. Turning it off and back on. Nothing has worked. Is it the turn signal? Or something else? Anyone electrical experts? Stang70Fastback
Well the turn signal will blink faster when one of the bulbs is burned out. So that could simply be related to either a loose bulb, a loose wire in the bulb harness, or even a bad bulb where the filament burned out but is still managing to make contact every so often. However, the issues you are having post-battery-charge... not sure about that. That's kind of odd. I was thinking maybe it has to do with the alarm system. When you re-connect the battery, if you have an alarm system, it will go off, and that includes the hazards flashing... but you said you've been driving it around so I guess that's not it. Hmmm... Anthsoriano
It's very strange. I will try replacing the bulb, and I will look at all the wiring to see if anything is out of the ordinary. There is no alarm system on the car. It does it while the car is off/on and when driving. The battery needs to be replaced as well, but I don't think that has anything to do with it.
