steve118
so i just recently bought a 1997 Subaru Legacy GT. But when i press the fog light button, the little orange light comes on but the fog lights dont. Any ideas what this might be?
Scruffy
Blown bulbs maybe? they're easy to check, two 10mm bolts on the front and just pull. after that check fuses
johnegg
dim the head lights. the fogs only work on low beam.

steve118
thanks for the replies guys. i removed the two bolts holding it in, well i tried haha (the left side ones were rusted and snapped, oops) found that the left bulb had blown, and the right had not been plugged in properly. but those are just the projector ones, there are still two more. bulbs are fine, grounding is fine. not too sure what else to check. johnegg
i'm not familiar with the wiring, but there has to be a relay. most of the on / off switches on these cars switch the ground wire. meaning there should be power at the relay but it does not activate until the ground is connected. the actual light has no power until the relay is energized. Zues Marine
so these are jdm projector fogs or did i interpret that wrong?
steve118
yep factory JDM lights. the ground seems fine, and after using the multimeter there is no issue with power or grounding. think it may be some connectors to the actual lamp
