HereWeGoAgain
One note, I DID set the Com port baud rate at 4800, it was defaulted at 9600, left the parity/other options as default.
RooTBeeR
Awesome news! You have a link? I'd love to be able to change dome things myself. HereWeGoAgain
RooTBeeR, I traced the ebay seller back to their store (A&E Trading Co.), they are in the UK, I called them on the phone, made shipping arrangements, paid thru paypal. Here is a link to the website where I got the phone # ($26 phone call, use skype instead) http://aandetrading.com/ Very nice people, I posted about how long it took for the cable to arrive a few posts back, just be sure to specify the FTDI BL chipset, I forget the numbers but just read back thru this thread for all the info. If you can't find/aren't sure let me know and I'll help you out. PS (I don't know the rules about race discussions on this forum, but if anyone tells you an 05 LGT won't walk an SRT8 Challenger 6.2, laugh at them.) Good Luck

I'll have to re-read this thread and see who was going to buy a bunch of cables that worked, and then re-sell them here "Build" Thread <--Link (OLD) '05 EJ255 now a '13 EJ257 Bottom End w/D25 heads (NEW) Forever Slow [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Evnldr
PS (I don't know the rules about race discussions on this forum, but if anyone tells you an 05 LGT won't walk an SRT8 Challenger 6.2, laugh at them.) Good Luck Hemi Challenger 1/4 Mile (sec @ mph):12.6 @ 112.1 Yea Good luck. Maybe heavily modded one source http://www.edmunds.com/car-reviews/track-tests/track-tested-shootout-2012-dodge-charger-srt8-vs-2012-dodge-challenger-srt8-392.html
HereWeGoAgain
Hemi Challenger 1/4 Mile (sec @ mph):12.6 @ 112.1 Yea Good luck. Maybe heavily modded one source http://www.edmunds.com/car-reviews/track-tests/track-tested-shootout-2012-dodge-charger-srt8-vs-2012-dodge-challenger-srt8-392.html It wasn't the 6.4 392, I haven't messed with one of those yet, but the 2009-2010 year model srt8s had a 6.1 (I thought 6.2) with 425hp, that are nowhere near as fast as the newer ones with the 392 6.4. Totally agree with you that the 392 is quite faster. The older ones however are not.
fishbone
OK I'll bite. Power to weight ratio the Challenger has 9.6lb per HP (425 hp / 4100lb) The 2005 LGT, the lightest comes in at 3300, stock 250 hp that's 13.2lb per hp. In order to say "laugh at them", to me that means that there has to be a clear, undisputed, wide advantage in the LGT's favor. So what do the track numbers indicate, because on the considerations above alone the GT would lose especially in the quarter mile where AWD is a drag and the VF40 runs out of breath. On a whim I looked up some mag numbers and Edmunds has the SRT8 doing 60 in 5.4 seconds and the quarter at 13.6 104 mph. So where's that significant gap worthy of laughter? Motor Trend got a 4.6 to 60 and and a 13.1 quarter mile at 108 That beats out all the stock LGT numbers I am aware of and even averages of Stage 2 mods. http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/112_0809_2009_dodge_challenger_testing/viewall.html I think that settles that. Let's move this over in private as to not derail the thread further.
snake2332
This $40 cable worked for my 06 WRX: http://www.ebay.com/itm/291575631301?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The chip is apparently unlabeled, according to the seller, so I just tested it and it worked. Quite a steal compared to the $170 Tactrix. He still has 7 of them left as of now and maybe can get more of them.
JMLegacy
http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=232010&d=1465831935 I've been using my RL based cable to flash cars for many years. I flash with version 1.29 ecuflash, and i edit with romraider. To edit with the latest version ecuflash, i install xp mode and edit inside that, and then copy file over to flash with 1.
