DES1988
My 05 LGT has been stuttering/bucking/hesitating/bogging during acceleration at lower rpms. Also there seems to be a bit of a rough idle, but it's not too noticeable so that may be normal idk. No CEL, and no pending codes. I have been thinking of pulling the crank position sensor and the cam position sensors and cleaning them to see if that makes a difference. I was wondering if anyone knew how to check for resistance across the connectors and what the resistance should be.
jp233
If you're not getting a CEL for a cam/crank sensor, you are probably wasting your time. (same goes for knock, IAT, I'd clean the MAF, and look into boost/vacuum leaks. And, you need to get your nose in the FSM, search for "vacation pics", and start diagnosing there. tdelker
Best bet is to get a VAG COM cable and ROM raider and take some logs. There is a fellow over at subaruoutback.org (Cardoc) that is very helpful in interpreting logs.
DES1988
So can I buy the cheap ebay cable to do logs then or do I need something better?
Steve R.
I recently got the Tactrix op2 and it is great if you want to do stand alone data logging as well. I would not be looking at any sensors unless you have codes for them.
