robbiegates
Hey guys, So i had an annoying chirp a few months back which I narrowed down to a bad TOB. I had this changes and installed a TSK3 sleeve and the sound went away. For the period of the clutch break-in it was silent.... then any time I drove over an hour and a half the chirp would come back but go away later ( I assume cause it cooled down) I daily drive 10 miles back and forth to work and never heard it then... only on long drives.... But now ... 1500 miles after the install I am now back to a loud chirp... all the time... What gives? Anybody here have any ideas or solutions? Tried greasing the fork already with no luck. Anything helps guys !

Justin case
This seems to be happening a lot recently. I replaced my clutch with a comp clutch stage 2 kit and got the chirping back within 1k miles. Ive rigged up a clutch return spring to try and alleviate the noise and so far so good it seems. I've also read on here that there are suspicions that the 05-06 clutch slave cylinder (for dual mass flywheels) is different than the 07-09 slave cylinders (single mass flywheels). It seems like no one has confirmed that however. Search in the transmissions section for clutch return spring and read up a bit, maybe that will help you as well. Best of luck! StoplightAssassin
Very common. Needs a return spring. Very easy.
scoobie2.0
^ What the both of these two said. Had a CM FX300 installed and had the chirp. Followed the writeup on how to make a return spring and its been silent ever since. It does take a bit of trial and error to make the setup work correctly. Heres the writeup in case you couldn't find it. Its further down the page. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/spec-stage-2-clutch-pack-and-lwfw-review-78095p3.html
