jeep0084 Posted August 23, 2013 Share Posted August 23, 2013 So my mother has a 2010 Legacy with the factory 9 speaker harman kardon system with the 6-disc changer. The sound began cutting out intermittently awhile ago and completely stopped a couple weeks ago. After much trial and error I determined the amplifier is dead. My mother went to subaru and they want 700 to replace it, the car has 40k miles so it is no longer under warranty. The amp has never been wet, I looked at all the harness connections and they all look brand new. Does anyone have one of these amps laying around after an upgrade that they would sell? Or any ideas on if it could be repaired, if anyone has ever torn into one? I am a mechanical engineer with very little background in electrical work, any help would be great, thanks!
