Rester5350
I think I figured it out. Did you replace your upper rear control arm with the lgt arm? You might be sitting on the bump stops. I lost around an inch when I finally swapped mine, plus the ride was a lot better.
Old Kurty Bastard
Haha. Glad to see you understand the reference. Anyway, it's not on the stops. It sits about half an inch off. Although I should probably remove those, since it would make the ride a lot better. There's only about 3/4" between the front shock bodies and the CV boots also. I think it's the angle you were taking the pictures from. Old Kurty Bastard
Considering it's probably hitting the bumpstops pretty frequently, it's not too bad. I had a little more room from the stops when I first put the coils on, but I guess it needed to settle a bit more. The stops just spin out with like some channel locks, correct? Sideways the Seven
Correct. I'm running without them currently, but I'll probably switch to the LGTs after I drop Sent from my SGH-T699 using Tapatalk 2 -Brandon 2007 Chevrolet Suburban LT3 1981 Chevrolet C10 LWB
Heffernan
I probably in the minority, but I wouldn't go any lower then what you have it at now. Looks great.
Old Kurty Bastard
It's definitely starting to grow on me. I like not having to worry about rolling fenders or my tires rubbing. I can also throw the stock wheels and tires back on when winter comes around and not make any adjustments. I'm starting to lean towards just keeping them. Heffernan
I would. Despite what some people on here think, you're never suppose to go full retard when it comes to lowering lol
INVNO1
The springs should settle a bit as well and that will give you a bit more drop.

urfsin
OP, I think the ride height looks good. My OBXT sits at about the same height and I like it a lot. Enough suspension travel, no rubbing anywhere and still a sporty ride. Win, win, win. Slide It Sideways
Old Kurty Bastard
This is true. I just need new bump stops and/or switch out the control arms to make the ride a little more compliant.
Sideways the Seven
Yeah, I'd leave the height. Throw on some sways and upgraded bushings if you want better handling. It's functional as-is and still looks good. I was actually considering the BC coils for mine, but I'm wondering what the ride quality and longevity is like being at the lowest height setting. -Brandon 2007 Chevrolet Suburban LT3 1981 Chevrolet C10 LWB
Rester5350
I recommend the control arm, you will gain way more travel then just bump stops. I think your car looks very good man!
urfsin
Yes, bump stops need to be replaced with LGT versions or you can be cheap like me and cut them down. Slide It Sideways

Old Kurty Bastard
Hey sorry. I've been pretty busy lately. I believe since the last post. What has been done is: -Catlless up pipe and down pipe -Stage 2 road tune by Cryotune (Dave's the man, as everyone already knows) -All rear lateral links replaced with Megan Racing adjustable ones (alignment done as well) -Finally the obligatory Hella Supertones and RA Mudflaps So far, the ride has been great and I have no real concerns. When I first bought it, some of the exhaust valves were burned up. The dealership stepped up to the plate and had them pretty much all replaced/adjusted. So if you're ever in the Littleton are in Colorado and buying a car, I highly recommend Phil Long Ford, as I'm sure they lost their ass on my vehicle.
