Old Kurty Bastard
I'm pretty new to this forum, so I'm just going to make a log of my current build. Car was picked up in June and had some problems at first. The security light comes on and goes off intermitently and had a cylinder 3 misfire. Luckily enough, I had the dealership sign some papers saying they'd fix the stuff if I was going to buy the car. Turns out it had a few burnt/out of adjustment valves, which the dealership replaced and probably ended up losing most of their profit on. I'm still not sure what the deal with the security light is, but the car runs and drives fine so I'm not too worried about it. Anyway, some picks... Just got the tint done http://i1151.photobucket.com/albums/o637/Kbraschler/2013081995165111.jpg http://i1151.photobucket.com/albums/o637/Kbraschler/2013081995165236.jpg I saw SublimeJoe's wheels and couldn't imagine anything else going on, so I bought some as well. I'm going for some sort of rally/off road look on the thing, but have some OBXT specific BC coilovers waiting to be installed when I get back from training. Here's some picks of the wheels without the drop. It looks absurdly goofy now, but I think it'll look awesome with a drop. http://i1151.photobucket.com/albums/o637/Kbraschler/2013082195111441.jpg http://i1151.photobucket.com/albums/o637/Kbraschler/2013082195111410.jpg And to follow along with the rally theme I have a Yakima rack and basket that I put on, along with a spare tire carrier for the basket and some light brackets that I'm either going to put an LED bar on top of or a couple PIAA lights (haven't decided yet). Also have some RA mudflaps and Hella Supertones on order, along with every adjustable rear link that Megan Racing makes for the rear suspension. http://i1151.photobucket.com/albums/o637/Kbraschler/2013082195173819.jpg http://i1151.photobucket.com/albums/o637/Kbraschler/2013082195173757.jpg Any and all comments are welcome. I believe I'm going to plastidip the bumpers, flares, trim, etc. flat black to better match the wheels, but I think I'll wait until I get the coilovers and wheels on there before I decide anything. Old Kurty Bastard
With the 3sdm's on it does, but that's definitely just stock ride height. That's also the reason those wheels won't be going back on until I install the coilovers and adjustable links...
Old Kurty Bastard
It does look crazy high with those wheels though. Not sure if the suspension was just completely unsettled or what since I just threw them on and took some quick pictures of that side.
Rester5350
It might just be unsettled. Have you read any of the lowered out back threads yet? I went with the koni/ epic setup and love it!
Sideways the Seven
Verrrry interesting looking build Sent from my SGH-T699 using Tapatalk 2 -Brandon 2007 Chevrolet Suburban LT3 1981 Chevrolet C10 LWB

I went with the koni/ epic setup and love it! Yeah, I think I've been through most of it. That's where I found the idea for those wheels and what made me decide on the coilovers. I've read good things about the koni/epic setup but ultimately wanted the height adjustability because I go snowboarding and mountain biking a fair amount. Old Kurty Bastard
Verrrry interesting looking build Sent from my SGH-T699 using Tapatalk 2 I think it's probably a little strange sounding, but once I get all the pieces together (especially the coils and the wheels back on), it'll make sense. I've always liked to be a little different with the stuff I build, so this car was not only a unique choice, but completely functional as well. I'll see if I can get some pics of the last thing I built.
INVNO1
Should look pretty sweet when you get the coilovers on and put the wheels back on it. Looking forward to seeing it come together
Heffernan
Coilovers or even bags to pull off that look with the wheels properly. Theres def. potential with this.
Old Kurty Bastard
Got the coilovers put on, an alignment done and the tires balanced today. Not really sure what to do about this...

Old Kurty Bastard
I think you should go lower. I can't go any lower with those coilovers. That's why I'm a little distraught, since I just bought them.
andnyleswillriot
well it's at least low enough to not make those wheels look as goofy as before.
BoozeRS05
Looks good as it is now, wheels are a little funky for my taste, but if you like them.. Nice OBXT. I'd recommend putting that undertray back on though. Rush600
I can't go any lower with those coilovers. That's why I'm a little distraught, since I just bought them. Oh I thought that was an option... Well just let It grow on you then! Car looks great!
Sideways the Seven
I could've sworn I remembered the BC OB-spec coils going lower than that. Still, it looks good! BoozeRS05
In the first few pics the car looks like it sits waay higher then any Outback I've ever seen. Maybe something different is going on here, and that's why it won't go lower. Old Kurty Bastard
The old struts that I pulled off didn't appear to have any spacers on them? Think I could buy the legacy specific strut bodies off a BC distributor and attach them to the existing hardware?
Rester5350
Put them up for sale on here and outback.org. Im sure someone will scoop them up.

Sideways the Seven
The more I look at those pics, the more I wonder what else is going on with your suspension. Even the Outback coils lower to LGT stock height, and yours appears even higher than that.
