argyle409
I went to install my prosport boost gauge friday, I thought it'd be a simply job maybe 3 hours tops... I tapped into the vacuum line thats under the manifold between the stock EBCS and the T that comes from the waste gate. I know most people go with the one off the BPV but I felt the closer to the turbo the better the reading I'd get. I went an bought some 5/32" Vac Hose as the clear stuff that came with the gauge looked crappy. Took me about an hour total I ran it throw a rubber grommet threw the firewall and mounted the sensor zip tied under the dash. Now I spent rest of last night and all of today trying to get it to turn on, an I can't figure out why I'm having such a hard time, I asked my father for help as he's an electrical engineer and said I had to swap positions of my orange an white wire so I did. An I finally got it to light up, but it doesn't read anything... instead it just flashes white and red? I have a 2007 Outback XT 5EAT I wired it like so (originally white wire was were orange was and orange was where white but it didn't turn on at all, so my dad swapped them) http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z166/dirtjumper202/photo-1.png http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z166/dirtjumper202/th_IMG_3794.jpg http://s189.photobucket.com/user/dirtjumper202/media/IMG_3794.mp4.html
argyle409
BUMP NO ONE? I searched blinking gauge and there is no defiant answer just beating around the bush...
EJ25subie05
the orange is a dimmer wire, the red is constant and the white im not sure (wheres your ground?) not familiar with pro sport as ive never had one, but you mentioned sensor under dash... did that have a ground and a power wire? did you ground it if so? that will cause a blinking gauge as its letting you know something isnt working or hooked up correctly. not much on electrical myself but the sensor needs to be set up properly as well. mdzowner
ill take a look at my boost setup and let you know tomorrow, aslo, check and make sure you have the wires linked to the correct fuses and they are not loose. the simplest thing can cause a malfunction

grovlet
Double check your wiring to the proper fuses - and I'm not sure just jamming a wire into the fuse block is the best solution either. Google Search also found a few instances where simply unplugging and reinstalling the the sensor wire solved the issue. I'm more suspect of the wires jammed into the fuses though... You should probably splice into wires that fit the bill vs. jamming into fuse block. If nothing else they make a clip that replaces the fuse and provides a wire out to splice into. (Picture) And I would double check your ground connection as well - Sometimes what looks like a solid ground screw point is not...
