hurla
Hi all! It's my first post here as the forum is very informative and so far I've found answers to my questions using search. So - opened up the clutch on my newly bought Eur spec 2006 2.0R Legacy and expected to see a dual mass flywheel, the same as yours. But - from what I gather, this is a single mass? And the friction surface is HIGHER than the bolting surface around it. Anybody know what is it?? (maybe it is from some older Legacy model as I've heard older combo's can also be used to get rid of the dual mass??) Many thanks!
hurla
apparently it is flywheel (and clutch kit) from 2nd generation Legacy and with the use of correct release bearing, it works on 4th gen also.
Max Capacity
So, are you telling us it's a cheaper replacement for the DMFW in the 05-06 and the SMFW in the 07-09 ? Do you have the correct TOB p/n ? I guess if you think about the bigger picture, these FW's can't be all that much different. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). JmP6889928
Looks like a Chevy S-10 flywheel with the raised friction surface. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe you can even resurface these unless you have the correct spacers?
