Hi new to boxer engines here. I decided the replace the spark plugs on my wife's 2011 Legacy. It's a N/A 2.5 and as I am removing the ignition coil of cylinder 3, it is completely coated in oil. How catastrophic is this? It seems that this is a fairly common problem, but is it something that I can clean up and live with for a little while or is this going to cause further damage? The other ignition coils seem to be much cleaner.
How bad is it?

That confirms a couple things I found on the web. Unfortunately it looks like doing this on a boxer engine is much much more time intensive than doing the same job on my carburated LS1. And it will take some time before I can complete this repair.
We aren't experiencing any misfires or power issues. is this something that we can do limited driving on until we get an opportunity to fix it? Or, could this cause catastrophic failure. I can't think how it could but my valves tend to tap from being under lubricated, not over.
