Anyone having issues with a rattle coming the trunk? I’ve got a rattle noise that occurs when the vehicle is in motion pretty much at any speed.

I’m not sure if this is the same issue you’re describing, but I had a clunk/pop type noise and it ended up being a loose bolt on the pitch stop mount. Once they tightened it, noise stopped.

Happens all the time, at least before the latest update. Make your phone forget the Subaru or vice versa and it works again.

I did that a few times before posting this to no avail. I tried once mor after reading this, and it worked. Go figure! Thanks!

My 2020 Legacy Limited stopped pairing to my iPhone today. Anyone else having this issue?

It basically is a part that prevents the drivetrain from twisting during acceleration. Everything was fixed as soon as the dealer tightened that.

No, I was just thinking how much better mine is than my last car.
I would get yours checked.
Agreed. This is the best AC I’ve had in any vehicle I’ve owned.

It's odd they would be defective so soon but at least they're going to fix it. I wouldnt personally deal with a noise like that on a new car, but that's up to you.

While I understand your point of view, I would respectfully disagree. I am a first time Subaru buyer and first time customer at this dealership. If I’m the dealership, I’m pretty embarrassed that such a good car is already making a noise that’s impacting the customer’s enjoyment of the car that’s barely 2 months old. It’s a relationship business and I don’t think the dealer would have the same enthusiasm to fix an annoying noise that isn’t technically impacting the drivability or function of the car as miles increase, warranty or not. Plus, if the car’s making these noises at 600 Miles, what’s it going to do at 60,000?

Oops, I may have read your complaint wrong. Can you make a video of the noise? Have you contacted the dealer about this issue?
My dealer said it’s the struts making the noise, but car is okay to drive. They are going to replace them. If it continues, I guess I’ll just have to get used to it.

Speaking of MPG, I just refueled my Legacy for the first time - does anyone else find that when refueling that the fuel tank moves some? I feel like every other make I ever owned it’s reallly sturdy. Is that just unique to Subaru that the tank gives a little bit when you put the nozzle in?

I tried making a video but it’s difficult to hear well. It just happened a few days ago so have not yet been to the dealer. Planning on taking it by and will update you.

Sounds like the pads are shifting inside the bracket. Is it a single metallic sounding clunk?
Yes, from what I can tell that’s correct. Which pads are you referring to? Just want to note that the noise happens even with the car is in motion (no braking). Appreciate the reply!

Hello,
New member and first time Subaru owner here. I just bought a 2020 Legacy Limited 2.5i and overall have loved the car. I’ve got about 500 miles in it, but have discovered something recently on a drive that has me perplexed. There is a small but noticeable “pop” noise that happens when accelerating or reversing from a stop and happens every few moments also when the car is in motion. Any Legacy owners (especially MY 2020) noticed this noise? Seems to be coming from driver’s side almost in the dash or around there.
