My power steering in my 2009 Subaru Legacy with 104,000 miles has been noisy for a little bit. I tried changing the o-ring on the tubing as I heard those can fail and cause the noise. When I first changed it I didn’t get it seated completely and when I started the car I came back to a lot of power steering fluid leaking from it. I took it off cleaned things up and got it seated right with no more leaks. Now though the whine is even worse I’d say. Do I need to bleed the air out and then add more fluid? Should I get it checked out at my local Subaru dealership?
