  1. Rear struts arrived today. They were on back order. Now I have everything. Need to assemble the front struts then will be ready to go. I might have to wait till the outbreak dies down before I can take it to get aligned though. That gives me time to get everything ready.

I had a picture pop up on my Amazon photos app that reminded me I have had the Eibach springs for a year now, unopened in the box. It's about time they get put to work.

Nice still waiting on my rears. I feel like I'm "racing" you to get this dang suspension in lol. The fronts have been built and ready to go for almost a week now.

  2. Took my 10 LGT to the dealership to have my ebrake and airbag recalls done. I asked for a loaner for the day and dude comes out with a 14. I'm like dude I own one of those I really wanted a outback, but whatever. Things I noticed right away was the lack of power [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]. My thought the whole time driving was ,"OMG I've been reduced down to a lowly NA." LOL. Other things are it does ride stiffer compares to my 10, mine has about 62k miles and the loaner had about 50k so pretty close to milage on the suspension. And the CVT is LOUD, I mean I don't think I could live with it loud.

I had an 01 outback and that thing had wind noise, exhaust leak, the stereo never could turn off all the way, basically that car always had some kind of noise and the CVT was worse than that.

Of course here's me also thinking if take the loaner to my cousin's house (she has a 12 legacy) swap out the headlights and front bumper from the loaner to hers and bring the loaner back, would the dealer ship notice? Then of course I would be putting the loaner parts onto my car lol. bc3589de1111674e3140cad8386d59c6.jpg

  3. That's interesting, I'm waiting on the rears for mine as well. Maybe KONI is shut down along with a lot of other businesses.

    Edit:

I emailed RCA and they said the rears should be shipping withing 24hrs. So maybe yours will be shipping soon also.

Nice you beat me to the punch. With this whole Corona thing going on I figured I can to put the fronts together and while I'm waiting for the rear

  4. I had H&R springs on my old Audi. They were stiff! I’m not sure which ones. Probably “sports.” They were black and lowered the car about 1.5” from stock. Didn’t rattle my teeth out, but they didn’t do my lower back any favors.

As long as you go in with eyes open and ibuprofen handy.

I've ran h&r springs on my 01 outback with kyb struts all around. While the springs were great the kybs were definitely way under damped for the wagon. But it just looked so dang sexy. ee26d7b059ec4f04c8ffb4a470b9db20.jpg

  5. Just ordered the struts and parts to go along with the swap. Ended up going with Koni. The whole setup ended up being about $120 cheaper than Cusco. Since I saved so much I splurged and bought the factory puddle lights. I had them on the Outback and have missed them on the GT.
Ditto but instead I spent it on the boomba ssa [emoji16]

  6. No one here is running Cusco shocks with H&R yet. Be the first!
Haha might have to be the guinea pig lol. I would ask my brother as he is a mechanic but you guys seem more....let's say more knowledgeable in this specific field. I would assume I get the cusco shocks then like the other parts like the top mount, bump stop and all that good stuff?

Just wanna make sure I have everything before I come about this possible install. I'm only hesitant on lowering because I don't wanna rub and or have to roll my fenders. I put some sti wheels on and so far with it being stock the wheels are flush with the fenders. I'm not gonna track the car or anything just a dd. And being in the Midwest I'm taking the snow into consideration. Sorry for the long ramble but thanks I'm advance.

  7. I was just hoping to save money somewhere. As of right now, here are my options:

Koni/Eibach (includes new donor front struts)- $1152.08

    Cusco/Eibach - $1088.49

    13-14 KYB/Eibach - $723.92

    Monroe Quick-Strut (swap Eibach Springs) - $582.94

This does not include the price of the Eibach's since they have been sitting in my garage for almost a year.

That's with all new parts including the adjustable rear arms.

Hi there guys long time stalker here but has anyone run the Cusco/h&r? I really want to get the Koni/h&r but I'm willing to pay a little more for less work [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

  8. Sorry if this has been answered but I plan on getting koni yellows for my car. I know I'm gonna need to get the 08-14 wrx struts and keep the stock top hats, but the part that gets me is do I get springs for my car specific or do I get the wrx springs. I will be going with eibach as it doesn't lower my car too much. Eibach has a deal springs for this year model or like $100ish. I figured even if I don't put the new suspension on now, it can wait until after winter. Thanks!
