  1. That site says: "While our device connects to the stereo camera on the EyeSight system, we do not hack the vehicle to make our device work." Whew! I would surely be uncomfortable with attaching ANYTHING to the EyeSight system wiring. Lots of potential for screwing up a critically important safety system.
  2. Interesting April 10, 2020 article. https://www.torquenews.com/1084/subaru-outback-has-new-fuel-saving-feature-you-don-t-it
  3. I believe that the roughness that people here are annoyed with is a resultant of Subaru's use of the flat four (or six) boxer block design. It is inherently a rougher starting and running configuration than Inline or V block engines.
  4. I'm obviously in the minority here since my Legacy Limited is a 2018 without the stop-start feature that's apparently standard in the 2020 Legacy. My other vehicle is a 2019 Toyota Prius XLE hybrid that I recently purchased when trading in my 2011 Prius. Six million Prius vehicles have incorporated the stop-start technology since day one in 1997. Frankly, I have enjoyed my Prius experience and love to hear nothing but my own breathing while stopped in traffic. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1066686_five-things-you-need-to-know-about-stop-start-systems
  5. Just curious. Since, according to your profile, you are driving a 2009 (my wife's was totaled in a head-on in 2014), have you driven a more current vehicle with the stop-start feature in traffic for more than a short period?
  6. Sorry, but I'm late to this February discussion here in July. However, since I've been driving my 2011 Prius since 2012, I truly miss it's stop-start feature while driving my wife's 2018 Legacy Limited. The silence at stops is golden. In stop and go traffic the engine doesn't even turn on unless you press too hard on the accelerator. Electricity does that job in hybrids. That is the major benefit in heavy traffic. That's also why you see so many Prius taxis and Ubers.
  7. Sorry, but I'm late to this forum and this, my 2019 post, is responding to one from 2017. However, it is impossible for anyone to get a blindspot warning from a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction from your own. Blindspot warnings can only be triggered when a vehicle is approaching from the rear of your vehicle.
