  1. At first the photos were right side up in the previews but not in the actual post so I deleted the photos, flipped them upside down on my computer and reloaded them hoping that they would post right side up...nope...I'm sure it must be me...
  2. I probably will do that...the junk yard doors. It is a fun vehicle to have in the mountains for sure. If I keep it I am sure I will have plenty of questions.
  3. I definitely get that...$3-4K is about what I was thinking. Your input is appreciated, thanks:) The turbo blew when I was driving. I recognized it right away and stopped driving. The car was hauled to a shop in Denver that specializes in Subies and the turbo models in particular. They seemed really positive about it for what ever that is worth. Pulled the oil pan to inspect it. I changed the oil at 60mi, 300mi, 750mi and 1500 mi after the turbo was done to look for brass etc. I wouldn't even be contemplating selling it if the accident hadn't happened. It has just got me in a mood to move along. I may still keep it, we'll see.
  4. I definitely get that. That is about the range I was thinking...I appreciate your thoughts. Turbo blew and had to be replaced. I recognized it right away and stopped driving. Had it towed to the shop. I am definitely not considering selling it for any performance issues, just potentially switching gears in my car array. The guys that put the new one in specialize in Subies and the turbos in particular. The oil was changed out at 60mi, 350mi, 700mi and 1500mi after the new turbo to flush and look for metal. I wouldn't even be considering going down this path if the accident hadn't happened, and still may not.
  5. Thanks Max Capacity, your car looks great! I suppose my question is really what sort of ballpark should I be looking at if I want to sell it as is with a salvage title?
  6. Hi, Not sure if this is the appropriate place to ask this question but I am looking for a little advice on how to price a wagon with some cosmetic damage and a salvage title. 2005 Wagon 5-speed Manual 142000 miles... A friend borrowed Subie this winter and got hit by someone on I-70. Cosmetic damage on the passenger side doors and rear quarter panel. Still drives straight as an arrow and functionally is great. Front passenger door does not open from the outside but does from inside. I just put the new turbo in it in August along with some suspension and brake work with Summit Auto in Denver. I have also done power steering pump, belts and radiator. It will now have a salvage title as they deemed it a total, but I just took it on a long trip to AZ and it drives perfectly. Every time I drive it I think I should keep it, but there has been a chain of events since I purchased it that is making me think that perhaps it was not meant to be for me. I have done quite a bit of work to it. Between 2 foot surgeries, the turbo, various repairs and now this incident my heart is not quite as in it. I am hoping to give someone else a good deal on a really fun car but also not drastically underprice it. 142K miles. Turbo replaced at ~138 K Cream leather interior, decent shape could use some leather cleaner perhaps... 5" on seam on back rest of drivers seat. Seat heaters work but not strongly. Moon, Sun roof - nice and tight Frequent oil changes w/ synthetic oil 1 owner prior to me Have maintenance records Thanks for any advice...apologies if images are upside down. They were right side up when loaded.
