Legacy Turbo 2020 Unleaded Gas Octane?
Bill G. replied to Famduke's topic in Seventh Generation Legacy (2020 - )
The "regular gas with a turbo" thing is actually a XT selling point (per my Subaru salesman). -
Yeah, but did they lower it? And how much?
-
The stock rotors are still trash
Bill G. replied to Cobber15's topic in Seventh Generation Legacy (2020 - )
I was going to say buy some good ones, like EBC. However, they have nothing for 7th gen Legacys (yet). -
After 6 months a few things that bug me....
Bill G. replied to bms231's topic in Seventh Generation Legacy (2020 - )
I'd like to know how they picked 37°F ? It is pretty annoying, especially when it's just cold and the roads are completely dry. -
O.K., I' wrong, sort of. On a Legacy Limited XT the only choices shown are Slate Black leather, Titanium Grey leather, or Warm Ivory leather. However, they do still offer Tan Napa leather in the Legacy Touring XT. I guess we need to be very specific in calling out the exact model. For example, the o.p. is asking about a "Legacy XT", but that does not exist.

2019 Legacy fuel pump recall
Bill G. replied to Will99's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
You are right about the siphoning. I should not have had to do it. But it was worth while. I only had to wait 40 minutes and it the recall was done. -
2019 Legacy fuel pump recall
Bill G. replied to Will99's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
Siphoned gas out, took it in today with 1/4 tank as requested. They replaced the pump. It took under 40 minutes. Center Subaru in Torrington, CT. Pretty good if you ask me. -
2019 Legacy fuel pump recall
Bill G. replied to Will99's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
Service writer said "about an hour". And supposedly parts are available. I told her that I am taking time off from work to get this done and if for some reason the part isn't there, or anything else goes wrong, to let me know ASAP. We'll see how that goes. Maybe I'll pull the back seat out ahead of time to expedite this service. Did you have to get the tank to 1/4 or below? -
2019 Legacy fuel pump recall
Bill G. replied to Will99's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
Mine just started acting up. Anything more than 1/2 throttle and it basically DIES! Have to keep driving it for a couple days because they can't squeeze me in for service until Thursday PM. Hope it does not totally crap out before then! They said tank has to be below 1/4 tank. Well, I have a full tank. Funny how the repair bulletin tells them how to get the fuel out safely. I guess they don't follow procedures... no surprise. I guess I'll be siphoning gas out Wed. night. -
New tires cause a conundrum
Bill G. replied to Rocktman's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
773 vs 777 is 1/2 of 1%. Or 0.30 mph at 60 mph. With the precision of today's speedometers, and even GPS, that is virtually zero difference. -
What makes you think you need one?

Lane change does not pull car to correct lane.
Bill G. replied to klxdrt's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
I'd just turn it off. Never liked it and never will. -
Anyone know how to get the gas cap door open when it is frozen shut due to melting/freezing snow/ice? I pounded on it, pulled the lever many times, but it would not open. And there is no way I was going to pry on the painted surfaces with a screwdriver or something. Luckily I was not 'out' of gas and it thawed out overnight in the garage.

Bill G. replied to Rocktman's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
Air pressure will change the tire diameter too. -
Try Rain-X DeIcer washer fluid all year round. It works great on bugs. I think better than anything else.

What is the torque spec for the lug nuts?
Bill G. replied to Beamercub's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
So, either 88.5 ft/lb or 85 ft/lb. It's virtually the same. Unless you're working with NASA's tools, that's well within the margin of error for any normal torque wrench. Set it to 90 or a hair less, and torque away. Bubba's pneumatic tools down at the garage are probably +/-10% (if youre lucky).
