Mine came off within couple months of buying the car. First Subaru said there was a clip missing, so they put one in. Second time it fell off, they replaced the part. The third time it fell off, they said there is nothing wrong with the part and that it's the fault of the car wash. As if the car isn't built to go through one. The car is one year old. So I would just pop the same part back in. It doesn't seem like it'll come off in situations other than car wash. But if you buy a new part as was suggested, you may end up with the same problem.

I swore to myself that I will get my hands on a 2018-2019 Legacy 3.6R. My 2.5 is just too slow, otherwise it's prefect for me. Not sure if it'll be my next car or if I'll pick one up a decade down the road for nostalgic reasons, but right now that's what's on my mind.

I've personally had couple "incidents" with weather stripping on my 19 Legacy. One of the trims around the door was fitted incorrectly from the factory and my weather stripping on the roof came of multiple times within 4 months of the car being new. All of these issues were fixed by the dealer promptly no questions asked. Well, except for "what is it this time?"

I so hope I'm not too late but from my personal experience you're so much better of with a 19 Legacy than you are with the awd altima. Altima's seats are too narrow (even my petit mother says so), the seating position is oddly high, the infotainment is laggy, the build quality is worse compared to my Legacy, and the engine is really buzzy. I don't know if I only notice these things because I'm able to drive these two cars back to back, but these are the things I personally noticed. Also, no memory seats (among other things) unless you go for the Platinum trim, which with AWD costs about $36k.

Has anyone noticed a ride detriment with the bigger 22mm swaybars? I drive some really, really rough sealcoated roads that are twisty as heck. Car still rides great but not over that garbage. Getting outhandled by Traverses and Cherokees in it.

 

Well, having stiffer set up on a very rough road is often not beneficial. With stiffer suspension, your wheels lose contact with the road when you go over imperfections easier than somewhat softer set up. That means you lose grip and that's why you're getting outhandled by SUVs which have softer set up (in relation to you).
