  1. Sorry to revive an old thread!! I've had the mishi rad on my 07 lgt for about a year now. As far as caps go I have the oem radiator cap on the mishi and the oem turbo rad cap in the same location - on the turbo res. The car overheats. I am hearing mixed things about placement... some are saying to put the mishi cap on the turbo res and to keep the oem radiator cap on the mishi rad... Seems confusing... Been researching for about an hour and found nothing.. can someone point me in the right direction or let me know what I should do with my caps?
  2. I asked him for the before and after alignment sheet but he only had the first. Said there is nothing you can do about caster unless you buy the kit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hi Everyone, Hoping someone can help me here. I replaced the rack and pinion in my lgt as the old one was leaking about a quart a week. Functionally, it worked perfectly. Wasnt choppy, no bump steer, only that it leaked a TON. I had always kept it topped off and never let it get below min. Had the shop replace it as I was tired of buying atf all the time. They put a new rack and pinion in and aligned the car and sent me on my way. Everything is fine now, was a bit choppy at first until the air worked its way out of the system. However, I have bump steer. Over bumps at speed the steering wheel wants to turn on its own if im not gripping it. Never had this problem before, even on the old rack before it was leaking and I had issues. The car is lowered on coilovers which I know can affect this but as I said I never had the issue before. Took it back to the shop, they're telling me I need the bumpsteer kit for lowered vehicles as this is common when youre lowered. I let them know I never had this issue before (Im barely lowered maybe half an inch all around). They can't seem to find anything wrong with the installation and swear by this kit to eliminate it. Has anyone experienced this or know what could cause it? Bad alignment or are they right and all the sudden I need this kit to eliminate it?? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
  4. Honestly... sounds like your heat shield from your exhaust vibrating. Just get under your car when it’s cold by the driver tire and you’ll see two exhaust shields. Just wiggle them and see if any are loose Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yes thermostat was done at the dealer. Yes rad caps are OEM on Mishi rad. Have never mixed fluid since I put the new rad in so not worried about two different colors mixing. Hard to believe it could be blocked with under 10k miles on it. As for burping, park it on a STEEP hill in my yard so front bumper is about same level as top of windshield or I jack the front up using a floor jack. Basically attach a large bucket funnel to turbo res and run it for about half hour. Heat on full blast and a few revs here and there to about 4k. Yeah I agree on temp being too hawt around town. My fans come on Ive checked those multiple times. The SECOND I come off it and coast down the temp drops on my guage. Makes no sense to me.
  6. Hey guys, Some of you may know about my overheating issue. I'll be brief and summarize for those who dont. If you already know skip to next paragraph. Ive gotten headgaskets done, heads machined, new mishimoto double wide radiator, trans cooler, new rad caps, new tstat, new water pump and belts, and burped the car excessively... car still overheats either up hill (any ambient temp) or over 65mph on the highway (about 90 degrees ambient temp). I am using the temp guage on the car as well as an aftermarket water temp guage. Car runs at about 200-205 around town but will go up past 210 (215+) in scenarios I listed above. I never let it go over 215 since i've replaced the heads, but this requires me to go about 55. So, where I'm at now... trans fluid was old and burnt... i thought maybe my trans was getting hot and causing the car to run hot. I replaced the trans fluid, to no avail. My power steering fluid has a bad leak in the rack... about a quart every week and a half. Im getting that rack and pinion replaced as well as changing the diff fluid. Hasnt been changed since i bought it and i dont know about the previous owner. (ive put 40k on it.. bought it at 100k). Now, I have heat on both sides, it works fine. However I want to bypass the heater core just to make sure that that is not the cause of the problem. Like I said, ive replaced pretty much everything and am out of ideas before I sell this thing. My question is: what size are the inlet and outlet hoses? I've looked but any writing on the hoses has been rubbed off or has come off over time. I plan to just connect them to an elbow hose before the firewall with hose connectors but cant figure out the size and would rather have the parts before i start rather than taking a sample to the hardware store with me... My only other thing is lack of airflow through the radiator. Keep in mind car is stock nothing on front end has been changed. The car is lowered and Ive read mixed things about aero and lowered cars... I apologize if this has been asked or covered in another thread.. please point me in that direction if it has. Thanks guys!!
  7. Post 117, not sure if it’s been asked in this thread but what grill is that? I have an 07 so different front end but is there something i can search to find something similar? Your car looks absolutely beautiful. Exhaust tips are spot on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Wow these look awesome (Post 11). I would definitely be interested in either of these. I understand they come as two pieces... do you have the ability to connect them with a small bridge so its easier to paint and attach to the body? Thanks so much for your guys feedback!
  9. This has been posted on this thread a bunch, not taking credit just using this as an example for what I’m looking for ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I’m looking for a LGT badge with the STI font, searched the forum found lots of stuff but no one actually making and selling these Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hey guys. Does anyone have a 3D printer and have the ability to print custom badges for the back of the car? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
