rota wheels are less expensive than factory in most cases ....... should be less than $200.

exactly, but you're certainly biased since you roll on their highest line.

The look .......... is like many knock-off brands. It's a dual drilled one piece wheel with a polished lip and dark face. That's a popular look (minus the dual drill) because the high end companies were all doing that several years ago (le37t, professor sp1, etc).

half the aftermarket wheels on lgt's are likely rotas ......... is the evo 6 really made in japan? I assumed that was one of enkei's chinese productions from the look and price.

i think Azenis has a much stiffer side wall considering it's a dedicated high performance tire

it does, just making the point that 17's aren't always more comfortable than 18's.

If people only compared like tires then it wouldn't be worth mentioning, but some folks are all over the map with the potential choices.

17's aren't necessary more comfortable.

225/45 17 azenis weren't any more comfortable than 225/40 18 yoko avs db2 for me.

they aren't even corded yet ...... you've still got plenty of wear left.

the only website I'd trust about fitment is tirerack (and they're a little conservative, but they won't screw you 99% of the time). most sites are extremely generic and haven't actually test fit anything. if you don't mind wheels sticking out, trust sales sites. if you want them to fit correctly, figure out the specifics yourself and then find a place that sells the wheel you want with the specific sizing you need.

yes. I had sti bbs wheels with 225/45 17 azenis 615 with swift springs and zero rubbing even during autox. Many people have used similar setups with zero problems.

I want absolutely no rub in any condition though

then stick with 225/45 17 and you'll have no rubs (assuming you get a proper width/offset).

245/40 17, rolls in back. you'll have minor rubbing up front on the fender liner at full lock. bfg kdw2 is what I was using.

the lower the offset, the further out the wheel sticks ....... like a 7.5 +20 would be way past the fender and a 7.5 +65 would hit the suspension.

 

I could swear there was good fitment with the enkei rsv ..........
