Agree on the cam carrier. As Silverton posted, seems to be somewhat common. My 2018 started leaking at less than 25,000 miles, driver's side. Fixed under warranty. Been keeping an eye on it since. So far, no other leaks.

For MY 2015-2071 Legacys and Outbacks with the optional "upgraded" Harman-Kardon audio, there was a center-channel speaker mounted in that location. The H-K audio was not offered in base or Premium trims, only in Limited and Touring.
I had to put a deposit down to get on the waiting list for the 2071 Legacy. I hear there may be some interesting features on that model.

2018's are on the new high pressure system. R1234YF refrigerant. Little harder to find and generally much more expensive than 134A. You cannot mix them, and must use separate equipment that has not been in contact with the other type.
And the new stuff is flammable, albeit mildly.
Are you no longer under warranty?

Have you made any changes to the opener, such as installing new LED bulbs? Some can interfere with the signal. You could also install a longer antenna (simple wire) from the opener to a location outside to help signal reception.
