  1. Car is running a OTS map from Matt Miner. Has a SPT cold air, GMS cat back, CNT high flow catted downpipe. That's it for tune mods. Hey all, have not posted on here in a while. Around a year and a half ago I bought a 09 LGT MT. Come to find out a month or two later the motor was no good, I was also getting consistent knock when going up hills? bad compression around most cyl with 4 being the worst (60 psi). Luckily I found a motor at my job where I went in blind with a leak down tester (didnt know what i was doing. ) But according to the directions the motor passed the leak down test. Fast forward today, I've put the "new" motor in. I did a cold compression test after driving it for about a week. All plugs out, with throttle down and the lowest cylinder being 113, the highest being 118. I still have been having this consistent issue that I was having with the last motor. My feedback knock will jump around when I am going up hills.. It happens A LOT in 3rd gear as well, at full throttle going uphill. Rarely does it happen when I am on a straight or down hill (sometimes it happens in higher RPMs third gear?). I do not see knock in 1st or 2nd gear at full throttle ever. Today my dam dropped to .75 and back up to .875 a few seconds later. The car has pulled great, it idles relatively well. Sounds like an average boxer. Haven't heard any audible knocks. I put group n motor mounts in, did almost all the gaskets on the motor. I genuinely do not know if the motor is junk and my warranty is going to end soon. (id assume my work would help me out but better safe than sorry.) I have been consistently trying to find the problem, with motor mounts. loose things under the hood, vacuum leaks, pcv. I have zip tied everything. I also feel like most of the 3rd gear knock happens around 80 mph. The car has an AWFUL power steering rack, and a god awful alignment. At above 75 the wheel will be shaking pretty rough. The rack I have not replaced as I don't want to invest much more till I know it is worth it. I'm going to leave some logs, but bare with me I have never put logs up before and don't know if I was supposed to shorten anything. Sorry for this being all over the place. -2.8 knock (the most consistent one ive seen, usually stays while im on the throttle going up hill.) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16bs1JwTqoGBow7gGi0PNE0p_rv37CO_Fj1t0CR0YGl0/edit?usp=sharing 1-3 pull with slight knock in 3rd gear. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ozy2kIIK8I8E-_zdG5xLI3-MTyDWyOiUBVEMrksqQz4/edit?usp=sharing -4.2 knock https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1y2_wA-eX3Y6vOvX6XkS5l3fD59BRnw44jwmsYd3DQY4/edit?usp=sharing -3.15 knock https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TwQpneo1NiWdtqu5fl6eX8b6Tqzaeo5Krf16gfVpnKI/edit?usp=sharing no knock 3rd gear. likely on a straight https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17NPLghW9-dUFNZaCPtHcMnwVXzIDyyHZDP_BoVxyF_4/edit?usp=sharing log i noticed my dam was done(if i noticed i would not have gone into boost ;( ) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XdHWXwtEWi5wbowMsEa9UyLbRNYuBpFEjoSLjfkh_uY/edit?usp=sharing
  2. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/transmission-gear-ratios-and-final-drives-229267.html When I was looking here, the final drive matches if that’s what you meant. Not sure though
  3. The scrapyard I work at has a '14 wrx that came in, with engine and transmission at about 110k. I purchased my '09 for about 5k last year, and long story short. The engine and trans are no good . My question is, will the '14 wrx motor and trans fit in the 09 legacy GT? If so, what changes would I have to make? I did do some digging at the scrapyard and only saw that the engines have different fuel injection. (I think the WRX has spray.) Thanks!

  5. When in 3rd gear only, if i accelerate the car will lug/sputter a bit till it catches and when i let off in 3rd it does the same kinda jerks you a bit. Almost feels like not enough fuel to the engine or something. Only happens in 3rd gear and for what seems like a second or two then it just corrects itself and it feels fine. On a 5eat
  6. I have no doubt this has been asked 100 times. rear of car squeaks like a MF when going over bumps getting in and out and pushing on the trunk. Same exact noise coming from my friends 05 legacy wagon as my 05 lgt hence why i think its a common thing and you guys might know what it is.
  7. Curious if this has ever been done, have the ability to cut and move flange at the end of downpipe but unsure of the bend.
  8. Ive had a massive oil leak since ive owned my car (to my belief) its been going for a year. Ive had 4 shops look at it, one thought it was the turbo drain line. Fixed it up and ... yup still leaking, the other 3 were practically useless with one of them having almost everyone there look under my car just to have the owner come to me and say they cant find it, so they wont charge me. Im tired of the crazy dried up oil pool in my driveway. Engine is strong, im almost at 180'000 miles and im amazed at how well the engine and transmission is doing. Just curios if there is common things that leak. I took off the intercooler and the intake manifold today and couldnt see anything, ive also had the turbo and downpipe out multiple times and noticed the area on the engine being caked with oil, its not a head gasket, had that looked at aswell. never overheated, coolant flushed oil changes every 3k miles and i started using a thicker 5w-40 in the hopes to slow it down.
  9. To the point, im looking for a private sale high flow catted downpipe for my 05 legacy 5eat. Story below. It's been one year since ive owned my legacy and ive recently been forced to go catless, my car was backfiring massively because im an idiot and thought a blow off valve was cool when i first got the car. Well the cats got clogged and i needed my car the next day so i spent a couple hours smashing out the cats in my downpipe. I went stage two to better fit the larger airflow. Its been a few months and ive had no issues with the car but i cannot stand the sound, or the paranoia of running a stage 2 tune on a catless downpipe. Since ive owned the car ive been looking for a high flow cat but have failed to find one under 500 dollars when theres plenty of manual high flow cats for alot less.
