  1. You will want to start with a definition for a previous CALID for the same market/model year 6th gen and then fine tune the memory addresses and column/row offset metadata if any of the table defs look off in terms of data they display. Best to have a well or semi well defined previous ROM to compare against.

Memory addresses tend to change from OE reflash to reflash and certainly from model year to year, even the same gen. So I highly doubt the latest updated charging logic ROMs have been defined.

Start with any defined USDM 2015 Legacy or Outback 3.6R, ideally for a CALID not too far behind the latest that you have.

Thanks for the tip; I was thinking along those lines but the latest bundled definitions don’t seem to include any 2015s and I’ve been looking around on the rom raider forums and git hub. Just wondering if things stalled on the newer models. I have a 2015 2.5 forester too and haven’t seen a definition for it either. I guess I’ll keep looking I was just thinking that since others have tuned there 6 gen here after pulling via ecuflash there must be a definition somewhere.

  2. Anyone know how i can find the correct definition xml file for my 2015 3.6R I was thinking of eventually tuning it but right now was just trying to pull the existing image to look at and compare against the Subaru updates - I was able to connect my tatrix dongle and pull a file using the subarubrz 2013+ setting. It reports unknown rom image however in ecuflash. My current Cal ID is coming up as DB4GA01D which matches with what it should be after the Battery charging update the dealer did recently.
  3. I attempted to do the 20mm RSB swap today but even with ample penetrating oil the top bolts that connect the endlink to the bar wouldn’t come off due to the rust on the threads. I am planning on ordering the kart boy endlinks but it doesn’t look like they include that top bolt so does anyone know where I can buy a replacement nut/bolt with the 5mm Allen on the end or does everyone replace it with something else?
  4. Lol. Are you serious? There are probably a 100 factors which could effect the drag strip performance of the same car on different days to the tune of a few tenths, much less two different cars 3 years apart.

I will tell you this, if 0-60 and 1/4 mike are priorities for you, you are barking up the wrong tree with the Legacy. The 365 hp Taurus SHO will lay waste to a legacy and doesn’t cost all that much more.

But really does anyone want to buy a ford ? excluding the trucks they are just rentals around here.

  5. I understand the instructions tell you to but based on where the damper is being installed-personally I didn't see how loosening those bolts would make a difference. The two sides moved very easily into the slot without those bolts being loosened especially after I added some lubricant. FYI I also have the longer bolt still in there because being that I didn't loosen those bolts I didn't want to loctite in the smaller Allen bolt as yet. The shorter bolt would only make a difference for cosmetic purposes imo. I don't see how the shorter bolt would affect the operation of the part.

Also even though using the Allen socket and a ratchet would be easier I would say it's best to install by hand with the Allen key. You get a better feel if it's going in the right way and only takes a few more minutes vs. using a ratchet.

Thanks for the tips I have one on order and your feedback makes me feel more comfortable with doing this myself.

  6. I finally took in my 2015 Legacy with Nav to the dealer to have the HU/NAV updated. I referenced TSB 15-205-16R when I took it in, which is the supposed newest version of the NU/NAV update TSB (though I haven't been able to find a public copy of it on the internet).

They updated it to the supposed latest and greatest, and everything seems to be working well. Dash compass and nav turns working OK, and HU/NAV seems snappier.

Here is the current SW versions listed:

    Nor NU9020

    eSD NU9020

    POWER 02.4027

    CAN 14.0015

    POWER BOOT 02.4017

    POWER VCL 02.0103

    DB NU9020

I'm assuming the NU9020 is the current version for the 2015 Legacy with Nav, but can anyone confirm? And, can anyone confirm the SW versions I have listed are all in line with being the fully updated and matched to one another? What exactly should I check to make sure the 2nd update took? And finally, what should I expect to have seen reset after a successful memory initialization?

Thanks for answers to all of my questions, for those that can answer.

Otherwise, I hope this is informational for those that want to perform another update to NU9020 for the 2015 Legacy with Nav.

I just got the files from Jdog81 and after doing the update on my 2015 my values match yours.
