  1. Definitely flush and refill the CVT (I did it on my 15' around 75k) assume previous owner(s) haven't, definitely take a look under the car - depending on region and conditions you may hear a heat shield rattle or other flanges that have rusted and possible belt squeaking as well so check those too. One thing to note with the CVT definitely get under if you can, I bought mine w/ 45k - around 50k the CVT seal gasket had snapped and developed a leak. Luckily I caught it in time and it was all replaced under Subaru warranty.

  2. Yeah I'm going wider too so I'm excited to see how much extra grip I get.

Track day yesterday was successful. It was very warm...I was monitoring cvt temps and skipping sessions to try to keep it cool. The pic is from the end of the last run....about 80 degrees over normal operating range. I'll have to add a CVT cooler for next year. Only cut power on me once, but it's also my daily so....drain and fill and a cooler next year!30b0b5c5b27b7467858bc9718e3d1b41.jpg

Which app are you using to monitor? Is it compatible with a bluetooth ODBII scanner?

  3. Well you can drop it however low you want. For me I had whiteline lowering springs first with stock shocks. I do not recommend that setup. The front was so low I would hit the ice chunks off people's wheel well droppings. So the BCs raised me up about 1.5 inches in the front (car was raked). Overall I think I have it set about an inch lower than stock, maybe a little more. The center of the bumper is 6.5 in and the side (in front of the wheel) is probably about 5-5.5."

I just realized I don't have a picture since I installed them so I'll have to take one and you can see how low. This one is from when I had the springs, so it's about the same in the back and a little higher than this up front.

I see, Ah that's actually not too bad at all. Any other suspension mods you had to make for the coils or where they just set to install from the box?

Currently she sits stock with only upgrade is the beefier rear sway bar.

  4. I really like them. The adjustability has a wide range, and I haven't gone to the full soft setting but you can get good control without too much harshness.

We have some highways in NY that are brutal and they were too harsh at the mid setting...15/30. I softened to 25/30 on the way back and it was no big deal after that. For daily winter driving I run them about 23, but I would likely firm them up to 5 or 10 for autoX or track duty, and back to 15 for a canyon run.

Quality product, probably 3 out of 5 difficulty to install yourself. Getting the height adjustment right is the hardest part; but that's all coilovers.

Just slightly noisier than stock which is to be expected.

I highly recommend them, especially for the price.

Thanks for the insight, always been on the fence about them since not many people are running them. How much did it drop the ride height for you?

I find myself more often out in snow and gravel/dirt backroads on weekend trips and limited daily driving.

  5. I'm About 2k into the most recent oil change, in regards to the H6 engine, are they known to burn through oil?

I don’t have any visible leaks, seepage or burning smell. Checked it this morning just randomly and the dipstick measured oil at slightly above the low point. Car was leveled on the street.

I just wanted to know if these engines are normally like this. Only twice has the light ever marked me with low oil and immediately I pulled over and added a quart due to it being around the 5k.

Just recently had the CVT transmission oil pump resealed due to it leaking.

Is this common for other owners?
