  1. I backed out of a driveway at a house I'm pet-sitting at this morning and while I was at an angle to account for the larger curb, I still managed to rip the left side of the front bumper cover off. It was already held in place with a zip tie at the furthest clip point near the tire, now its popped out from most of the headlight clip spots just like the right side. One day my lazy ass will unclip the bottom of the bumper to get it lined back up, but for now a replacement zip tie has been installed
  2. Technically this was completed Friday, but finally got my Legacy back on the road. Over the last month or so, I've been doing quite a bit of work to it. First noticed a coolant leak, which ended up being a cracked radiator. Got a new radiator swapped in, and replaced my battery at the same time (the battery in the car was working fine, but was 7 years old and kept getting massive corrosion build up on the terminals). Then, I had started noticing a squeal on cold starts, and a squeak at certain rpms while driving. Thought it was a bad serpentine belt pulley, but after replacing all of them as well as the tensioner, the noise persisted. Someone in a local Subaru group mentioned it could be something timing belt related, so since I was planning on doing a timing belt replacement later this year anyway I went ahead and ordered the stuff to do it. Couldn't afford a shop, so parked the car on jackstands in the garage, found some great videos on YouTube by MrSubaru1387, and went to work slowly replacing everything myself. Worked on it as I could between work, family stuff, and drag racing season starting up, but finally got it finished. I had also ordered new spark plugs since I haven't ever replaced them and I've put 70k on them since I bought the car so no telling how many miles they actually had. Went to take the plugs out and realized that all my spark plug seals were toast. So, ordered new valve cover gaskets and spark plug seals, and went about getting those replaced as well. Car is finally all back together with no more noises and should be good for quite a while I hope . I'm glad I was able to do all of this work myself even though it did take a while, I like learning new things.
  3. With all the craziness lately I've decided to start carrying more often, and as such I decided I should get something a little more easily/comfortably concealed than my SD9VE, so picked up a Springfield Armory Hellcat OSP in FDE. Just picked it up yesterday, hoping to get some break in range time here this weekend.
  4. Noticed I haven't posted anything in here since a couple weeks after I got my bike. Still have my 2018 MT07, currently sitting at about 5400 miles. Since my last update when I did the fender eliminator, full exhaust, and tune I have done a few more things... lol. In the last year and a half or so I've installed (in no specific order) a TST integrated tail light, Proton 500 flushmount front signals, Evotech rear peg delete, Evotech radiator guard, Ermax windscreen, Healtech quickshifter, Rhinomoto bar end mirror adaptors, a CRG Arrow on the left side for now, T-Rex Racing rear spool adapters/case covers/frame sliders, CRG RC2 levers, and Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires. Unfortunately we're pretty much done with good riding weather here but I sneak in rides as much as I can when the weather is tolerable. Also have a few things I'm hoping to do over winter if I have any spare money.

  7. Technically didnt happen today... put my summer wheels and tires back on Thursday, then dropped my coils another inch yesterday. http://i.imgur.com/1XvAxhZh.jpg
  8. Technically really happened on Thursday but forgot to post. Got my Tein Street Basis Z coils installed(set to be around 1-1.5 below stock, but snow tires are over half an inch taller than my summer setup so negates a bit of the drop), as well as mounted my Hakkapelliita R2s on some 04 Impreza Outback wheels and threw them on. Officially in winter mode. Did an almost 300 mile roadtrip over the weekend and the Teins ride nicely. Definitely stiffer than stock, but ride really well IMO. http://i.imgur.com/5xIIZbTh.jpg
  9. Been awhile since the legacy has had anything bought for it, but since the stock suspension is pretty much toast, ordered some Tein Street Basis Z coils since they fell in the same price range as new OE struts/springs. Also ordered KYB replacement strut mounts for all 4 corners.
  10. I think the Akra and Two Brothers S1R are the best sounding exhausts made for my bike. I'm a fan of the underbody style over the can which is one of the main reasons why I went with the Akra.
  11. Well the MT didn't stay stock for long... installed a fender eliminator and a full exhaust over the past week as well as had the ECU flashed. http://i.imgur.com/DNjeWKdh.jpg
  12. I'll wait for bogus to be clear before I ride up there haha. Just had a much more experienced rider than me lay his bike down yesterday because of all the sand and crap still up there. Come actual spring its definitely on my list!
  13. Picked up this beauty today. First one sold in my state, if not the country, as they weren't gonna be released for at least a few more days. http://i.imgur.com/NctTP3Qh.jpg
  14. Paid my deposit and got my 2018 MT-07 ordered the other day. Manager at the local dealer managed to get an early release for mine, should get it within the next week(my color scheme was not slated for release from the warehouse until the end of the month). Also managed to fix a vacuum leak on my Radian(hopefully, will ride around a bit tomorrow to make sure issue is fixed), just in time to sell it to make room in the garage for the MT.
  15. I've been trying to track down a heatshield rattle on my 2.5i, but cant seem to find it, though it does look like most of the bolts are somewhat corroded. How easy would it be to remove the exhaust manifold from the car to be able to remove the shields easily? Also, could I just use high temp exhaust paint in place of the heatshield and reinstall the exhaust?
  16. Dylan 26 Born and raised in Boise, ID Currently a Milkman(Seriously. I deliver milk and other products to customers' houses at night lol), but would like to get my CDL in the next year or two. First vehicle was a 95 Grand Am, and (in no particular order) one 89 Chevy 2500, 00 Ram 2500 Cummins, 86 S10, 98 Civic, 90 Civic, 91 Integra and 99 Buick Regal GS later I'm on my current vehicles: my 2011 Legacy 2.5i Premium 6MT, 91 Civic RT4WD wagon, and a 96 V8 Dakota Sport. Mods to the Legacy are limited to Rokblokz mud flaps, a Megan Racing axleback, Rally Innovations rally light bar with 2 Baja Designs Squadron Sport lights, and 17x7.5 OZ Omnias.
  17. Got my summer shoes installed today, and getting alignment tomorrow. http://i.imgur.com/J8b2iqth.jpg
  18. I was thinking maybe the hangers are different. Guess I'll just hope a 5th gen nameless muffler or muffler delete pops up somewhere, don't wanna pay for new, but wanna see if I can get something that's just a bit louder than my current axleback.
  19. Anyone know if there's any difference between the axleback section of a 5th gen vs a 6th gen? Wondering if a used Nameless axleback for a 6th gen would fit my 5th without modification.
  20. Spotted a nice looking 5th Gen in town, wonder if he's on here. Think it was a 3.6R but not sure, even with his modified exhaust I couldn't hear it over my truck's straight pipe . Good looking car though, seemed to have some good options, SAT radio, leather, sunroof. Please ignore my hood, the teenager that owned my truck previously is who did the spray bomb job, not me haha. Edit: not sure why the attachment is sideways, not sure how to fix it
  21. 1)Started out on a cheap TW200 just to have something to putt around on after I got my endorsement, currently ride a 1990 Yamaha YX600 Radian that has been bobbed, and my dad's mint condition 1998 Yamaha XT350 off and on, hoping to pick up an MT-07 come springtime. 2) When it's riding season I ride to and from work (unfortunately only 8 miles round trip lol), and almost everywhere else unless I'm going somewhere that I need to transport large items or people. 3) Rode dirt bikes in the mountains and the country quite a bit as a kid, then didn't ride for almost 10 years until getting my endorsement in fall of 2016 4) Take a motorcycle safety course, well worth the money and time. Even just a beginner level course for a few days could be the difference between avoiding an incident or winding up in the hospital.
