  1. I think the front rotors on the 2.5 Limited and 3.6 are the same size. I had the issue when I ordered a kit from rock auto and they sent me the pads for a 2.5 standard/premium. Good thing on the pads is that the wrong ones won't fit (notches on the caliper body are different)

I could totally see it getting mixed up when ordering aftermarket ones, In your case, someone just wasn't paying attention during installation....

Actually the 2.5 is smaller. according to centric.

... or someone just didn't care.

Perhaps a bigger question is why the front pads and rotors were replaced at less than 28,000 miles. Looking at the pad wear, I'd say way before 28,000 miles. For me, that would be a big red flag ... CPO or not.

I think it was put on from the factory. I might call SOA and see what they think.

  2. Well Glad you found it early.. Once its fixed keep an eye on it when you change your oil..

Update...The little leak was "fixed" and then turned into a bigger leak when they were trying to fill it up. I asked what was leaking, I think he wanted to say input shaft seal, but couldn't find the right words. Anyway, it's still broke, but I have a 2020 forester now. So all good.:spin:

  3. Cool beans! Guess that road force balance last month didnt help.

Just about a year into owning the 2010 after last owner, right?

The CPO thread got long fast too, glad you pulled the trigger on it.

Hope you can also inject some tact and common sense into the 6th gen community

(if we can even call them that). Right now they have a large deficit of both.

thanks. the dealer took care of me and got the remote start removed. the road force didn't help. so aside from the shimmy, the rust on the inside of the trunk and the timing chain cover oil leak. it was a solid car, just not for me.

  4. Did you ever fork out for roadforce balance or confirm it's not the wheels or tires? If you got a new set of wheels/tires, I bet she'll ride like a dream.

Dealer did a regular balance on all 4 tires. He gave me some excuse as to why I shouldn't get a roadforce. I can't remember what he said. I guess I could put the rears on the front and see what happens. But the tires are fairly new.

  5. My Preg. Wife had a tire blowout late last night. On the same dam wheel that was leaking from Day 1 since I bought it. Taking wife to work in Tyson, VA then to Frederick, MD. I have access to my friend shop and my friend is placing an order for a tire with Tire World. Should get it before noon today.

Bummer. And the worst part, if you want to do it right you'll need 4 new tires.
