  1. This vehicle is obviously a great option, given the R&D can be split across three models (Subaru, Toyota, and the rumored Lexus variant). That said, I would really like to see more PHEV options. It seems to me that the Ascent and Outback could command the premium that comes with that tech, whereas the Crosstrek really cannot.
  2. I think it was a mistake for Subaru to discontinue their H6. Sure, the 2.4 is great for Ascent, but some people just gotta have a 6, especially for top-tier models.

I feel like your average Subaru buyer doesn't care. Case in point, look at how many people buy the 2.5L Outback, which struggles to get out of its own way...I have one! So I honestly don't think that these buyers are considering number of cylinders. More so, the practicality offered by the vehicles such as the Forester, Ascent, and Outback.

  3. the legacy will most likely start showing up in september... Subaru Legacy is is not typically a rental fleet car...

My buddy is in purchasing at Enterprise and they have been purchasing Legacies, Outbacks, and Foresters for the past few years. ....Subaru also indicated to him that they intend to capture some of the sedan market that Ford is abandoning.

  4. Oh, I'd gripe too! I wonder if they'd give you the cost of 2 years of rental towards the purchase of a new vehicle  If not, I'd demand a rental equal to the car I can't drive.

I want them to buy the vehicle back and get an Outback. However, we don't need two car payments in the midst of also buying a house.

  5. Got the recall on our CRV. Said it may be up to 2 years before we get a new airbag. In the mean time Honda is paying for us to have a Chevy Sonic. It's a nice gesture, but it's quite smaller and crappier than a CRV...waiting for the comeback of the Outback XT.
  6. So all of this talk about the weights of Legacies, umm did anyone notice that the Mercury Milan ways 3100 lbs in 4 cyl. form and 3300 lbs with the V6? Just thought I'd share as I thought that was pretty good from Ford and for a midsize.
