  1. I am so tempted to do this but I worried about taking everything apart. I work in the IT field and I could field strip a Dell workstation down to 30 pieces in 5 minutes but something like this, scares me lol.
  2. Incredible write up! Thank you so much! I hate the idea of ripping apart my dash board so this write up is solid gold. One question though...I noticed that you didn't show us how to wire the gauge to the car. Does your gauge have a backlight? I would assume so.
  3. My 06 has the same thing. I can use the other 3 switches smoothly, but when I try to use the auto down feature for the driver, I feel like I am jamming down the switch. Its very sticky and not smooth.
  4. Malimx6m, Your not crazy. I notice the same thing. Today I get in the car and press the fan speed "up" to bring the system online. Its about 32 degree's outside and I always leave the unit on "floor and middle vent". I will be driving and notice that when the car's oil temp reaches "normal", the A/C turns itself on. The temp is set for 73 degrees and it still on "bi-level" but the car has decided that the A/C needs to be on. I will reach down and turn it off because I dont understand why the car needs to "cool" the interior because its NO WHERE near 73 degrees inside! Its really frustrating especially with the gas mileage not being great as it is, but I dont want the A/C sucking more fuel when its 32-33 degree's outside and its not near the desired temp inside. Not a well designed system if you ask me and ALL it would take is a software update to correct this issue. The two more annoying things in my car are the Climate Controls being stupid and the 2nd / 3rd gear stuttering.
