  1. Hey I have a 94 legacy wagon with an NA ej22 and it suddenly stopped starting. The car was running fine before this and had no problems starting. Then this past week it would crank but never start. It has spark and fuel comes out of the fuel filter. I just checked the compression and all cylinders are consistently low, around 60-70 psi. The test was done with the cold engine. I tried putting oil in one cylinder and it went up from 65 to 85 psi. I have checked the timing marks and counted teeth repeatedly, and the timing looks good. I got a fuel pressure tester, but at this point it looks like the compression is the red flag. Let me know if you think I should test that still. Also the spark plugs smelled like gas, so it seems like there's gas in the cylinder. Is my engine just worn out? Any ideas of other things to check or things I could fix? Thanks!
