  1. I just got a letter - there is another update (this is not the one done a few months ago that folks had trouble with). It says certain 2020-2021 Legacy/Outback to update the Cockpit Control Module. Update for over the air functionality, microphone, volume level, voice recognition, and prevention of repeated rebooting after activating Android Auto. Supposed to take about 40 minutes at the dealer. I have a 2020 Legacy Touring and yes I really like it.
  2. I’m taking mine in next week. At times makes a crunkle (yes crunkle - between a crinkle and a crackle) sounding like some crunchy stones but only once or twice a day, and not on hard bumps nor on smooth roads!). One dealership I took it to said they couldn’t find anything, but it wasn’t where I bought the car. He basically just put it up on the racks and shook things. It could even be some gravel or something that got above the bottom insulation. I will be surprised if they find it but will be ecstatic if they do.
  3. SVXY - if you have locking wheel nuts check underneath the trunk board and see if the 4 (One from each wheel) from each wheel, didn’t get out of the package and are rolling around in the tire.

Speaking of noises, one time I had a noise in my front cabin that was vibrating or clicking to the driver’s side. This was in a Nissan many years ago. I took the car back and a “brilliant” employee, and I do mean that, found what it was. In the eye glass holder, my glasses were clicking and moving at times as they weren’t sitting in there solidly enough. I took them out and/or moved them around and it stopped! The vibrating sound was emanating from one location and ending up in another.

  4. Not so much that but when making sharp turns going up my driveway extremely slowly. Not so much a clunk but a gravelly sound. Dealer check it and could find nothing. I checked it and the only thing I could “guess” is it is the insulation underneath the chassis next to the drivers door. I’ll be interested to hear what you find.
  5. Wow! Sounds like you are extremely unhappy with the car. Not to be disrespectful, but maybe you should have looked closely at it before you bought it to see all the paint defects and taken it out for a long test drive...then you could have bought something else. I wish you luck. BTW, just went to check the trunk lip on my 2020 turbo XT...it is perfect. Mine was delivered in Sept. of 2019.
  6. I have the Turbo XT Touring which has the Harmon Kardon speakers. I read where you can’t get the Rockford Fosgate upgrade for that one.

Does anyone know if there is a lighted door sill update. The lighted SUbaru words look good. I called Subaru and they said there isn’t one for my car and NO where is it on line for the 2020. Also, thought about getting the foot well lights but it seems too expensive and I keep seeing only white, not blue.

  7. Addendum: Today, using my built in Nav unit the Arrow, which I like to always be pointed in the direction I am driving, finally stayed! In the past, I had to fix this every time I went in the car. Not any more. And the sound actually is better...I had to lower the bass adjustment for the first time. Go to torquenews.com and everything is reviewed.
  8. Had my Legacy Touring XT updated with the 504 software update. What a huge difference:

    1. was told this one update covers everything talked about...

    a. Car play is larger - whole screen

    b. Start/stop button moved and is more accessible

    c. Screen is quicker and no freezing (I hope)

    d. This could be my imagination, but the sounds from the radio sounds better
