It will fit just fine but unless you have and 08 plus legacy some significant modifications will need to be made to the wiring for cruise control as well as swapping air bag parts and even more work if you want the radio controls to work.
A tad bit misleading to suggest you can just throw this on an 05 and have your cruise control and air bag work

Had this installed on my 05 legacy GT and had the cruise working. Just never wired in the audio controls. Already did the wiring for the cruise so its plug and play and this airbag just plugs right in.
