  1. Hey mate, There's a pretty common fault in our 5EAT. The "Turbine speed sensor 2" is more than likely at fault. Mine completely shit itself and every shift between 1-2 was a slam shift and sometimes 2-3. If it starts to happen regularly it'll need replacing. If it happens when you're out and about, put it into tiptronic and take off in 2nd gear. This will help you limp home/somewhere safe. The part is cheap as chips (under 100). Try find someone who will replace just the part not the whole valve body. Or do it yourself. It's not a huge job if you're comfortable with cars. Anyway don't stress much for now.
  2. Screen was faded and completely unreadable. Replacement part number is a Densitron unit DD-160128FC-1A It was 3400yen so around 30usd. Void the warranty, remove the 4 screws and separate the clam shell. Here's the faded screen. Screen folds out from the top. Push the brown black clip to release the cable. Pull out the screen. Reverse order. Fixed!
  3. Another good day. Door soundproofing in. Made a hell of a difference. Makes me want to put better speakers in. Got my hoodscoop back from my mate who painted it up. Pretty happy with how it looks. I hope it will increase airflow a little too. Had to replace the bonnet liner but lucky I had heaps of heatproof mat leftover from the doors. Finally retrofitted cruise control. Mine didn't have the loom already there so I had to tap into the ECU. I can write up how I did that if anyone wants to know how. Car needs a good clean.
  4. Had a pretty big day today. Front and rear diff oil change. Wa happy with how little metal there was on the drain plugs. Rear diff mount and bushings swapped out. Cusco and AVO respectively. Did the AVO endlinks front and back too. Installed some underbody braces. Parts 57851YC010, ST57851ST000 and 20157AJ040. Installed the STI seats from a VAB. Was really lucky in the JDM it was just plugnplay no airbag light either. Next project is putting some sound proofing in the doors.
  5. I have 235/45R18 with stock STI struts and springs. No issues.
  6. Cheers mate. Yeah, posted on the Liberty forums too! Not looking to sell just ideas, like you gave me. I'd completely agree its kind of missing those finishing touches. Thanks again.
  7. Hey team, I've got a bit favor to ask. I have been looking for an aftermarket grill for a while but couldn't find anything in Japan that wasn't going to be worth more than my car. I hit up a guy for two sample products: One matte black FRP and one carbon fiber. Just got them in hand today and want you guys to rip them apart and tell me what you'd pay for them. They're for the JDM A-C type 5th gens he can also make the D type (USDM) grills if you're interested. Anyway have a look and let me know what you think. https://imgur.com/a/VbLXKJh Eion
