  1. I'm not sure, actually, I bought them used from a shop that took them off a customer.
  2. I traded for these about a year ago, but blew my head gasket and gave up on the car before I was able to install them. They're currently in storage and seem to have been well taken care of before. Unfortunately, one of the rear adjusters is missing, but you can still use an allen wrench. These go for $1700 new, and I'm pretty disappointed I never got to see and feel how they would have changed my car. I'm asking $800 OBO in St. Louis, MO. I'm willing to ship at buyers expense. Front springs are Swift 080, 392 lbs/inch (8kg/mm) Rears are Swift 060, 336 lbs/inch (6kg/mm) The image uploader isn't working right, so I had to hotlink the images. I'll try again in the next few days.
  3. Year, Make and Model: 2007 Subaru Outback 2.5i Color: black Miles: 168k Transmission: 5 speed Title: Clean Lien: no Location: ST. Louis, MO VIN: 4S4BP61C576312916 Seller's email address: jcarey.photography@gmail.com Asking Price: 2,200 Recently involved in minor front end collision, which cracked the radiator, which caused the head gasket to blow (very common for these cars). The front end damage has mostly been fixed, but still shows some evidence. This car still starts up and drives, but gets hot quickly. You should be able to drive it home, but don't expect it to be a reliable vehicle until the head gaskets get fixed. The engine in the car is from a 2011 Impreza, and was swapped last year. This has been my daily driver for several years, but the time has come to move on. The wheels are from a 2011 WRX, but the rest of the car is bone stock. I have very nice FEAL coilovers that never got installed that I can sell along with the car. I'm asking $2,200 OBO, trade offers are welcome.
  4. Thanks! I think that's my favorite, too. I have a Canon 5Dmk2 with a 24-105L. I have a DIY rig that I've had for almost 10 years now, and it's showing its age. it's actually steel and probably time to retire it for aluminum. I had a suction cup come off during the shoot, so I ended up just clamping it to the roof rack. Thanks, that's kinda the whole feeling I was going for. You never see good photos of vehicles that are dirty, and my car had picked up a LOT of salt and mud, just the perfect amount for the feeling I was wanting.
  5. I'm a photographer and filmmaker by trade, and automotive work was what really got me into it. Unfortunately, I rarely get my camera out for anything other than paid shoots anymore, and getting someone to part with money to photograph their car is just about as hard as squeezing a dollar out of an empty wallet. Luckily, I got some motivation this past weekend and decided to practice a bit with my car:
  6. Just picked these bad boys up this past weekend, so I'll be posting in here again in the next couple of months. I'm planning on waiting until after winter to install them, but I'm not sure if I can wait that long...
  7. Swapped out a Momo leather steering wheel for my stock 2.5i wheel, installed a new battery, and replaced the shitty universal battery hold down with an OEM one.
  8. they work fine for me on my PC, on mobile, and on my laptop, regardless of what browser I use and whether I'm signed in to the forum or not.
  9. sorry, newb here, I'll delete if you want me to. Is all of that required to do a 6 speed swap from a 5spd manual? I can't just swap the transmission and maybe the main driveshaft over?
  10. quarantine project. I got these installed the other day, but never posted it here. I picked up some 2011 WRX wheels about 6 months ago, then left town for work for a while, so I got them dug out, sanded down, and painted with Duplicolor dark bronze wheel paint. It's definitely not a perfect paint job, but it's a pretty decent apartment patio paint job. That was right after swapping them over, so the suspension isn't settled, making it look super monster-trucked, but it dropped another inch or so after driving it. I'm planning on getting OEM Legacy GT springs, shocks, and struts for it, lowering it another 2 inches. This is my daily driver, so I can't slam it on coilovers, unfortunately. It also desperately needs tint.
  11. I just realized I've never updated this! About 3 months after I got it, I popped the engine due to oil starvation. I figured that since it was my newest car I've ever owned, it should be fine. it wasn't. I bought a cheap 92 EX 5spd Coupe that was hit in the back right quarter and needed a clutch, but was otherwise completely fine while it was down. Long story short, I spent way too long thinking about fixing it before I just found a $250 junkyard motor and swapped it in. It's not perfect, uses about a quart of oil every fillup, and is throwing the annoying P0420 emissions code so it won't give me cruise control, but it's a good car that carries a bunch of shit. I've had some '11 WRX wheels for a while, but I just got back from working in California to no job, so I needed a small project. I sprayed them in Duplicolor metallic bronze wheel paint and wrapped them in some accidentally-too-small tires that I got from a friend.
  12. Cleaned and debadged it today: IMG_20170211_152429 by Jayson Carey, on Flickr
  13. My shift boot was really ratty and my shift knob was worn smooth when I bought the car, so I replaced both of them tonight. I got a vinyl shift boot with red stitching, a billet aluminum shift boot retainer, and a black delrin shift knob. The knob isn't quite as big as I'd like, but it was only $11, so I can easily replace it without feeling bad! Also pictured is my bluetooth adapter. I'll be running the cord through the center console instead of leaving it loose pretty soon. New shift boot and knob by Jayson Carey, on Flickr
  14. FINALLY replaced the hatch wiring harness. It's amazing how nice actually being able to lock my hatch is! Everything I'm finding says that the Forester and the Outback both used the same steelies. They're not terrible, but they definitely aren't staying!
  15. I want the JDM taillights, though I'll be clearing my headlights and possibly plastic-casting new clear reflectors to put back in.
  16. Nice! I really like your work, it's frankly fantastic. I don't tend to do a whole lot of weddings, but they are usually pretty fun. The majority of my wedding work anymore is as a second shooter, so the work on my website is just from a handful of older weddings.
  17. Thanks man, I do commercial photography and TV/commercial camera work and I started out doing automotive stills. I went out tonight to finally get some decent pictures of this. They aren't my favorite shots ever, but I like em! If you want, you can see my stills portfolio at http://www.eyelevelstl.com I'm pretty sure they're just the stock 2.5i steel wheels
  18. IMG_3832 by Jayson Carey, on Flickr I took a train from St. Louis to Chicago to pick up my new car, a 2007 Outback 2.5i with a manual transmission, and drove it all the way back with my wife. I needed something newer, nicer, and more reliable than my old EP3 Si. I work in the camera department TV and films, so I need something that can carry cases upon cases of equipment, but I also want the fun and efficiency of a car. The only major issues at the moment are a soft clutch and bad hatch wiring. I've already pulled the wiring harness and am about to order the replacement. Mods: As of right now, it's completely stock, but that's probably not going to be true for long. future plans: 25% tint all around Legacy GT Wagon suspension or similar. I want the nice wagon stance this car was supposed to have, not the pseudo-SUV crossover wheel gap it currently has. 18x8 +40 silver or gold wheels 2008-2009 JDM taillights STI lip cool white LEDs all throughout the interior, including extra lighting in the hatch for late-night loadouts. A more permanent Bluetooth solution other little bits and bobs to make it a nice, good looking, reliable wagon.
