  1. I usually run Rotella T6 5w-40 full synthetic oil in my 2010 LGT (225K Miles), but recently I can't find any T6 around at all. I read somewhere they are on back order for several months possible even Q4 of 2022...

So, I was wondering what everyone suggests for a new temporary oil for me? I'd prefer something as similar to T6 as possible.

Car is mostly garage kept but I often park outside at work for 12+ hours in the MN winter.

    Thanks for the help!

  2. Looking to get the "Grimmspeed electronic 3-port boost control solenoid" and the "turbo inlet adapter" here soon. Did you guys find out if this fits? If so, how did the install go? Did it improve boost quality etc? Any input is appreciated as always. Thanks!

Turbo inlet adapter Model # 057047

  3. That sounds good to me! When I first got it I reset my ECU which held up for a day or so then I kept getting the code more frequently so I stopped resetting it to clear it. Now I just deal with the check engine light. I had figured the you had a aftermarket exhaust on, which I've heard can cause it to throw the error code in 5th gens. But this is definitely on my list of things to fix soon because I'm sick of having no cruise..

Also just a FYI I've heard drilled rotors can be brittle and can crack if they get really hot and cool down really quickly.

Good luck with the o2 sensor swap. I'm excited to hear if it clears your p0420. Let me know what you find out.

  4. Welcome to the forum! You're semi close to me in Duluth! Hopefully we can get enough 5th gens around the area to have a meet some time.. I have that stupid p0420 as well. I'm assuming its the O2 sensor for mine. Do you have the stock exhaust installed still? Mine has a Borla cat back which is why I assumed it was my rear 02 sensor. Let me know what you find out, id like to know..
  5. Took care of my oil leaks last night. Had a leaky oil pan sump which was dripping down on to the headers heat shield. Pulled the turbo and the headers down in one piece clamped all the cooling lines and oil lines. Took the old oil sump pan off and cleaned it up really good and sealed it again. Letting the gasket cure for 24 hours and will be bolting everything back up tonight after work fill it with oil slap a oil filter on then burp the coolant. oh also replaced the flat O-ring in the oil filler with a round ring to stop it from leaking as well. Fun times
