  1. It doesn't fit your car. I don't know what you want to get out of posting here. There isn't going to be a fix for it. If you want to know what's going on, wrap it with a fragile masking tape and drive it for a while, then inspect it for damage to the tape. But, once you know, you will STILL have a bar that doesn't fit. The problem has but one solution, uninstall the bar that doesn't belong on your car.
  2. There's a shop in my area that deals with Subarus, I'm going to ask them they're opinions. I started researching how to increase low end torque issues not just for Subarus but other people that are running into the same problem. A couple guys on this forum have mentioned replacing headers and cams. So I am looking into headers and have the cams looked at and see if the CVT can handle it. I've abandoned the intake thing because it's more helpful for fuel economy not performance. I've seen a bunch of headers for sale but I can't find the right one to fit the 6th generation legacy. So if I can find the right headers and possibly cams, that I believe will be worth the money invested. I just pray that I don't destroy the engine.

You can get a shop to build you headers. I wouldn't mess with the cams. That's a step for MUCH later into the job.

  3. Is it just me or does it look like maybe that sway bad was installed backwards? I'll look at mine and see if it goes under or over those control arms...pretty sure thy should be over.

Nope, I was wrong, it looks crazy but it matches mine. VERY long end links.

However, the bends in the bar look to go a lot lower to the ground than the stock bar(see pic of stock setup below), and look at all the open air around the end of my stock bar, and how close yours is to the...um....not sure what that is. I don't know if your end link needs to be even longer, or of the shape of the bar is not quite right, but something is wrong and I bet you get some "clack" sounds when you turn, no?

Sorry, I don't mean to rain on your parade, but this doesn't look right.

  4. My impression is that 44200 would bolt right up into the cat as this is where the nameless bolts up as well if I'm not mistaken. I just really want the dual look, but I know it's going to be expensive this way. So even if this all works, I will probably have to end up going with the single nameless anyways.

If I order Part 44200 through my local Subaru dealer it's $170 and then the dual nameless is $450. So all together just for parts it's going to be at least $700...

If you're not getting the whole nameless cat back, and you're concerned about money, why not just get the Subaru y-pipe and the 3.6r right side pipe and muffler?

I wonder, does the extra flow with a second exit hurt the torque on the 2.5? Typically the benefit of an aftermarket exhaust is power from increased flow due to smoother bends and wider diameter, to a point, and then greater flow can hurt performance. I wonder if the 3.6r dual exhaust would improve power (greater flow after the cat) to the same degree an aftermarket single exhaust would. Anyone have any insights?

  5. Who in their right mind is going for aerodynamics here in the 5th gen forums...

I don't see your point being a dick.

you mean these 6th gen legacy forums? the model without a turbo that boasts about the shift toward greater efficiency owing (in part) to dramatically redesigned contours for better aerodynamics? I could have been more delicate with my point, you're right about that - my apologies to the OP.

  6. Here's my 2015 Legacy plain from the dealership! Then the afterwards; Added: Window Visors, Roof and deck lid spoilers, side view mirror spoiler and mud flaps! Installing the front lip spoiler over the weekend and will update the pics!

    Aerodynamics fail.

Roof spoilers on sedans ruin the aerodynamics of the (in this case, very well designed) car. Here's why:

Although I guess you choosing those mud flaps instead of the Subaru Legacy-specific aero version means you aren't going for aerodynamics?
