  1. Try calling Customer Care at Subaru of America. They might cover the repair cost as an accommodation.
  2. I had the same problem; it was covered under warranty. The lighting elements can be replaced.
  3. I went with the new Firestone Firehawk AS tires. I took a chance when they first came out as there were no reviews at the time. They are a vast improvement from the Goodyear LS2's. I considered the Michelin AS3's & Goodrich Comps A/S but wanted to still maintain some ride quality; I didn't need an ultimate grip tire. The Firehawk AS tires are a nice compromise; quiet yet still have enough sporty handling to put a smile on my face.
