  1. Is the point on this thread to always have a new challenge? Or, is it time to start repeating stuff as I suspect there are folks on the thread, like me, who have not been here long? Maybe a week or two of "Sunset/sunrise" photos... or "Angle from ten feet above" or...whatever. If the truth be know, my Legacy is currently 500 miles away, but I will see it in a day or so....anxious to get beck in and enjoy its wonderful comfort. Oh well....
  2. There are some challenges which cannot be even imagined by some of us who do not live in NYC. But, I will hang in and if there is a possibility I may give it a try. Let's go for it....what's next?
  3. Legacy_Off Matrix_04.04.16 by Tommie Lauer, on Flickr Surely, a phone exists inside....LOL
  4. Well, I am not a fan of the wheels on the 3.6r, and the photos of the after market wheels all look stunning....so, I guess I will have to anti-up for something which is not so goofy as the OEM wheels. I tend to like a very simple design, especially the white ones by tigger73....
  5. I will be back on this thread but for the next week i am out in my silver trailer...no Legacy around..... love the fancy jack stands..... Great thread.....
  6. A very quick and dirty, Hyper Blue or as noted..."Superman Blue"....OK, "Storm Blue"....if that is better... Legacy_Hyper Blue_03.27.16 by Tommie Lauer, on Flickr Someone can show this to Subaru ....LOL
  7. Subaru Easter Colors_03.26.16 by Tommie Lauer, on Flickr
  8. Thank you for taking care of the geriatric crowd...LOL. I think I have caught on.....
  9. Thanks, I am not certain I understand all this, but maybe someone can handle the details and I will post only photos of my Legacy as the rules suggest. So, if one of you can take over the challenge, put up the scores, I will attempt to add some eye candy as time permits. And, for my "non-qualifying" photos, I will possibly start a thread on photography of vehicles, if this is something forum members would find helpful. Again, thanks for the opportunity to be a forum member....
  10. Not sure I understand all this Standings stuff, but for the recored if anyone is at Road America during the Spring Vintage thing, Mid-May, the Indy Cars, or the Brian Redman gathering, i usually park my Airstream either on Hurry Downs (between 7, 8) or in the Carousel. I look like this: Elkhart_Lake_II_05.30.15-8 by Tommie Lauer, on Flickr I make wicked espresso...
  11. If the "winner" is supposed to post the challenge for the next up....well, how does including the sun or sunrise/sunset in your photo sound? Required: The vehicle, the sun or after/before it is seen. Anything else goes. A sunrise or sunset shot will be the easiest, and here is an example ..... Porsche 996 by Tommie Lauer, on Flickr Of course....wrong car, but this is the theme...
  12. Well, I appreciate the honor, and I will be posting some more stuff....for car fans, at Road America this year I will be capturing the Vintage cars running in mid May...maybe some old Subus, and the Brian Redman Vintage thing...or what one could call the vintage cars of the MMG crowd, and then the Indy Cars... For airplane fans, the big fly in at Oshkosh....will be doing this too. If one likes aluminum trailers, i.e., Airstream, this is what I pull with a truck, and attend a lot of rallies. My Legacy should fall into some sunrise and sunset shots, so it will change colors....LOL
  13. Not a chance.....LOL It is post processed from a RAW file, in Lightroom 5.7. The essential issues are changing the color balance to more blue...spookier, and adapting the shadows so as to produce more of the car jumping off the page. Also, note the fog lights and high beams are on.....this is done in the computer, but in the final analysis it should look like ti was shot that way..... I do this with race cars, etc. as in this shot of Paul Menard in the Xfinity Series at Road America last year: Road_America_Xfintity_Plus_III_08.28.15-15 by Tommie Lauer, on Flickr And, as long as this is the photo page, sort of, here is one where the entire sign had to lighted in Lightroom, as electrical problems prevented getting the sign to work. Again, the idea is to have it look as if it was done only in camera. Route 66 Drive-In, Carthage, MO by Tommie Lauer, on Flickr And there you have the answer....
  14. Subaru_03.20.16 by Tommie Lauer, on Flickr Looks better if one goes here:
  15. My Legacy with about 600 miles.... Subaru_03.15.16-3 by Tommie Lauer, on Flickr
  16. Well, here is one, more of a close shot....... Subaru_03.15.16-2 by Tommie Lauer, on Flickr and then a long shot..... Subaru_03.15.16-3 by Tommie Lauer, on Flickr and the new 12 cylinder 5 liter upgrade: Subaru_03.15.16 by Tommie Lauer, on Flickr
  17. Appreciate the suggestions... some websites do not have 2016 models up as of yet, so i will keep waiting. Neither Magnaflow nor Invidia have the 2016 Legacy 3.6R listed when I checked, but suspect there may be a way to adapt one of the others.
  18. Who says an iPhone can't take good photos.... Legacy - 1_03.03.16 by Tommie Lauer, on Flickr My new 3.6 which will be delivered tomorrow....still covered with all that white plastic stuff......LOL
  19. Any thoughts on cat back aftermarket exhaust which is fairly quiet when using very small throttle opening, yet really gets it done when using more than half throttle?
