  1. So let me get this straight... Whenever you fix anything on your car, you go through the trouble of making sure your replacement parts are up to spec? That would be fraud. Just an FYI. The logic here is astonishing me. I had a windshield replaced last week and used Eyesight for adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist for a good 2 hours. What you people are saying is ridiculous and is a double standard.
  2. ummm why not? There are aftermarket replacements for everything. Obviously the windshield on Eyesight models is different than non-Eyesight models, but that doesn't preclude you from using an aftermarket windshield if the specs are correct.
  3. Depends where you live, but yes this is true. If you live in the south or Arizona for example, 55W in the summer could lead to that.
  4. I respectfully disagree. I think 245 is pretty wide for 7.5". Even if it physically fits, you're sacrificing a lot of handling. Not worth it.
  5. Keep changing it every 6K miles until you sell the car. What is the cost/benefit of changing it at larger intervals? If you're doing it yourself, your cost is like $32 each oil change. Why push when the cost is minimal? I think most people on here, do use a good brand of synthetic. I know Pennzoil Platinum is quite popular nowadays, but Mobil 1 is just as good for what you're doing. This is my first Boxer engine, but I can't imagine it requires oil changes more often than the competition. Just follow the manual and you'll be fine.
  6. Where do you live? Do you live in a place where snow, rain, and/or fog are common? If so, you want to stay away from higher K ratings. You'll experience too much reflection from the light. With that being said, 5000K should give you the most light output (I think). Steve from XenonDepot can give you much better input. Hopefully he replies soon
  7. Notice the quotations around "standardized"? You know exactly what I meant. Thanks for the correction.
  8. Not 100% sure what bulbs you're referring to, but lumens are not exactly a "standardized" unit of measurement. 200 lumens from company A could be very different than 200 lumens from company B. Usually high end companies like Philips are very conservative in their Lumen readings. So the lower brands may claim higher Lumens than Philips, but in reality Philips are brighter. I'm not sure if this helps at all because I can't really tell what you're talking about, but I figured I would chime in
  9. IMHO, the WRX 5 split-spoke wheels look much better than those 10 spokes that you're talking about. I think another point to consider is that the 5 spokes are 18" vs. The 17" on the ones you're mentioning and they're a half inch wider. I think 18" fits this car better and the wider tire will perform better.
  10. Is it just me or can nobody see these pictures??? I see them in the advanced reply with the code, but I don't see the pictures on the regular page
  11. Gotcha I'll just wait until May or June. The girlfriend won't die waiting for 4 months. Plus, it'll give me more time to get projector LED fog lights.
  12. Ahh didn't see your post! So is there a place to use tie wraps easily?
