  1. Dealer performed update from NU9017 to NU9020. Everything appeared to work. Today, noticed that when making a phone call, I can't hear the audio from the phone over the speakers, just a slow clicking sound. All other BT functions work fine, pandora, tune in radio. Tested with a Samsung and Apple phone. Same problem.

Went into settings and noticed HF Voice quality settings. Mine is set to 0000. Is this the same on others? 15, Premium, w/Nav.

    Thanks,

  2. Mark N, There's a few updates. The first 5 pages of the TSB covers them all. Here's the short list:

    • Mirrorlink 1.1 updates

    • Enable Mute function for Navigation guidance

    • Incomplete display of intersection names in combination meter

    • Increased accuracy of the XM Traffic information displayed

    • Intermittent delay (approximately 1 minute) in display of map information after initial start-up of Navigation function (2015MY Legacy and Outback only).

VERY IMPORTANT: In addition to updates for these five conditions, each of the new files listed in the table below contain ALL of the previous updates for conditions referenced in prior TSBs 15-182-15R, 15-183-15R and 15-198-16R which this TSB replaces. An overview of conditions addressed in the three prior TSBs is provided below.

You shouldn't have to take it to the dealer, twice. Just verify the versions and check the vehicle monitor before leaving.

For those with Macs, I'm sure there's a *.zip file version. If not, send me a PM.

Here's a list of the available files from Subaru for Legacy:

    Legacy & Outback:

    2015MY Legacy & Outback w/ F10 NAVIGATION Update File #1

    2015MY Legacy & Outback w/ F10 NAVIGATION Update File #2

    2015MY Legacy & Outback w/ F10 7" DISPLAY AUDIO Update File #1

    2015MY Legacy & Outback w/ F10 7" DISPLAY AUDIO Update File #2

    2016MY Legacy & Outback w/ F10 NAVIGATION Update File #1

    2016MY Legacy & Outback w/ F10 NAVIGATION Update File #2

    2016MY Legacy & Outback w/ F10 7" DISPLAY AUDIO Update File #1

    2016MY Legacy & Outback w/ F10 7" DISPLAY AUDIO Update File #2

  3. I believe I got it updated. The TSB procedure isn't very clear on verifying the correct version after each update. It says to verify CAN, but what is the updated number?

I had to re-apply update #2, twice. I didn't reapply update #1 before doing #2, the second time, as the TSB says. The first time I ran update #2, it was a lot faster than #1. The second time, it was much longer. So appears it took.

My final versions are: Nor=NU9017, eSD=NU9017, CAN=14.0015, and DB=NU9017. Does this match others ?

Vehicle customization works. Haven't tried MirrorLink.

  4. Solkid212, welcome to the forums. So as you can see, folks highly recommend "searching" the forums before posting your question. There's been alot of threads regarding "lights". I think some folks are sensitive to them.

Regardless, What's your goal ? What are trying to achieve?

I don't drive in a lot of places where I use my High Beams. I think most folks in rural areas would. If you need them, then I would suggest the LED 9005 High Beam option.

I love my HID low beam H11 setup and the H11 LED Fog lights. I hardly ever use my High beams. The drawback with having 9005 High Beam LEDs is that there's no "lo" setting. They're either off or on. So I choose to just drive with my lights (lows) ON all of the time, Day or Night. It's been over a year and no issues.

Btw..all my lights were from XD. Great Setup !

  5. Thanks for the replies. I saw on another "oil consumption" thread where an owner was using more than 1 quart between changes. He also mention poor gas mileage. Thought there might be a correlation. I have to agree that my heavy foot is contributing to my mpg. From my previous car, I'm very happy with 28-30mpg. I'll keep a close eye on oil level. All my other "new" cars never burnt any oil between changes. However, they were all 3k intervals. First car to have 6k intervals with synthetic.
  6. Taps actually cut when you back it out. So you want to thread in 1/4 to 1/2 turn, then back it out. Thread in a bit more, then back it out. You don't want to try and cut to much as you can snap the tap itself. There's actually 3 types of taps. Starter, mid, and finish. Starter taps don't actually start cutting til almost 1/2 in. For your issue, I'd recommend the mid tap.
  7. Posted this in the Poll, maybe be better here:

I have a 2015 2.5i Premium. It has 22k miles and next oil change is coming due. I just checked and I'm 1/2 quart low. I've read numerous posts on this forum regarding this issue. However, I haven't seen any thoughts on what is considered "acceptable" oil consumption.

I purchased the car new. The dealer offers free oil changes for life. So they've done all of them. I did the first "break-in" change at 1k. The second was done just under 6k on the ODM. I've always had the oil changed before 6k miles. Back on the 3rd (12k approx) oil change, I checked and the dealership had overfilled it which I had them remove the excess. Wife took it in for the last change (18k), so I didn't check the level when it was done.

Now that I'm over 20k, I thought I'd monitor it more closely. So is 1/2 quart every 5.5k normal? I see some post that 0 loss is normal. I'm also not getting near the advertise 36mpg rating. I'm getting 30 mpg, drive 38mi, freeway, each way to work. I do drive between 70-75mph most of the time.

  9. Just ordered the 20mm bar. btw..what's the torque specs for the various bolts?

Don't have ramps. Plan on jacking slightly with hand jack. Any other easier ideas?

Found the .jpg on torque specs on earlier pages. Looks like ramps are the best option since it has to be loaded. Guess i'll have to borrow some.
