Probably won't fit. FWIW the shifter assemblies were all different between my LGT, WRX, and Forester. None of the short shifters were interchangeable. The ball socket and linkage connection width are different sizes.

Seems like a nice cheap option. Anyone know if this would fit a 5th gen gt? I wouldn’t think there would be a huge difference in the shifter assembly between the 4th and 5th gens, hopefully one of you know better.

The Timur rom takes care of these things such as waking up the tablet when charging is sensed and going into deep sleep when charging no longer occurs.

So the app handles the programing. Very nice. That guy has really thought of everything hasn't he. Reminds I need to devote an evening to read through his thread.

How do you go about programing the tablet to come out off and back into stand by mode with power from the cig charger? I don't have much experience with android. (apple user) also I'm running through the wiring for this setup in my head. Is there something missing from your components list? Because with those part you would end up with 2 male USB ports at the cig charger? Please tell me what I'm missing here.

How are you liking the king springs your running? I've been researching lift/overload spring for a while haven't found much. How do they pair with the HDs?

Ok first of I say it's a theory and a guess because I have no Hands on experience and I don't want to run the risk of misleading some and I want counter Theory's to check my fact.

 

Second what I said about the temp gauge not reading right till the thermostats opens I typed before I checked my facts that's my bad.

 

Third I know how a dam gauge works you don't have to be an ass about it.

 

Finally I asked the question because I'm finding conflicting answers in this thread and others and I want to learn and do what is best for my car in the long run.

Not exactly true. When you first start the engine the idle rpm is high then starts to settle to normal after a few moments I'm guessing it has to do with the oil and cylinders getting to op-temp. That's just about the time the thermostat opens and the coolant temp gauge starts going up. That's my theory which that's what the thermostat stat does opens when the engine hit op-temp.

 

Unless everything I just learned in my auto class about the cooling system is wrong.

A forged motor warmup means idling in your driveway until the water/oil temp have reached operating temp. As soon as you release the clutch, you're doing damage and risking failure. My engine warm up regardless of lateness was always 3 minutes. On colder days it was 5 minutes.

I was wondering because some said 3 min. I timed it it takes way longer then 3 min to get to op-temp on the coolant temp gauge.

Something to consider with the intake, the parts needed to build it come out to be around $100ish with an Amsoil dryfilter. That's without airbox or your time. I would honestly say GS intake is the best best for most folks, unless you have time and dedication to spend.
