The problem that I just ran into was in my 06 LGT limited (auto climate controls) I can still hear music playing from the aux input while listening to the radio. We installed one in my buddies 06 outback (manual climate controls) and his does not do this. It cuts sounds to his aux when the radio is playing.

Any advice?

Turns out one of the tires had sidewall damage and couldn't be fixed after a flat. So on goes the summer set of 17s that came from my old Bugeye.

Good job. Couple observations:

 

1. It is better to buy flat USB cable - the seam between the windshield and the headliner is quite narrow. A thin flat cable = less deformation on the headliner edge.

 

2. You could get 12V ACC power from the mirror harness - the 3-pin white connector on the right - that would have saved you quite a bit of work
