  1. OEM 4.3" Panasonic units need the factory microphone in the map lights assembly and working steering wheel controls. Plus the USB connector in the armrest.

It might be cheaper to consider a decent aftermarket HU.

I thought that only the limited models had the USB in the armrest but my car has it with the aux cable connection. I thought that was weird since I don't have a Harmon Kardon system and no bluetooth steering wheel control. I was seriously considering doing an aftermarket navigation, maybe even the OEM style radio, but I wanted to ideally have a factory camera with the factory wiring connected to either a factory radio but more than likely an in dash navigation.

  2. IIRC, only the 2012 models are pre-wired all the way to the trunk. With a 2010, you will have to make your own harness and run the wires under the carpet.

But in theory I should be able to get the factory harness connections if that is the case? I would hope it is prewired as the Nav option was available and that I have a premium model. Well, only way to find out is to start taking it apart.

  3. I have a 2010 premium model 3.6R and I was looking to do this add on as well. I wanted to know if anybody has the same setup as me and has been successful at adding a rear view camera. Ideally id like to use factory harnesses and make it a clean install but I'm not afraid of doing some wiring. My setup is as follows:

    - PE645U1 (Standard Radio)

    - Cloth Seats

    - Blue connect (no Steering Wheel Controls)

I know that I need a 4.3" screen but before I go searching for one, I wanted to know if anybody with a similar model as mine have verified if their car is pre-wired. I could of avoided all of this and just bought a limited model with Nav. :/

  4. I just installing replacement fogs on the WRX. They look to be 100% compatible with the 5th gen mounting.

The ones I picked out have a 90 degree horizontal coverage. The other choice is more to support road illumination up the road. I had gotten these at Subiespeed but they do not appear to be available anymore. Here they are at FT-86 factory http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/olm-vision-drl-led-fog-light-housings-1821.html

Additionally, these have LED strip above and below the fog that can be wired in to be on with the DRLs. I also installed the Laminex overlay to protect the glass. Subispeed has a few other options that you guys may want to look into.http://www.subispeed.com/2015-subaru-wrx/lighting

Did I read someone go one of their fogs busted up? If so, PM me as I have two OEM fogs.

Is there a write up available on the LED fogs? They look really nice and I'd like to see some night shots as well if possible. Also, has anybody done this install on their fifth gen Legacy?
