  1. Old thread, but did want to update everyone, got the email from weather-tech a couple months back. The inchannel vent shades are now available. https://www.weathertech.com/subaru/2015/legacy/side-window-deflectors/
  2. As I agree with most of what you said, this Legacy has had the biggest difference in mileage of cold vs warm more so than any other vehicle I've owned, and I've owned quite a few vehicles. I think a lot has to do with the transmission fluid and cvt itself.
  3. You know this was my first thoughts as well and their is definitely a difference in MPG on the two different blends of fuel. With that being said, the CVT in these cars does not like cold weather, it could be the middle of winter but if we get a random week where say the weather is above 50 degrees, my mpg jumps right back up to summer levels even though you know the gas is still the winter blend. 4. Nice! And I thought I drove a lot, my daily commute is about 50 miles each way. I did save some miles while my Legacy sat at the dealer for 2 months waiting on a new head unit over the summer. Gave me a chance to have a nice extended test drive in a brand new Ascent for a couple thousand miles.
  5. I did some searching to no avail, figured it'd be neat to see who has the most miles on their 6th gen. I'm sitting at 105K currently, 2015 Legacy bought brand new February 2015.
  6. I've had my 2015 since new, I commute from PA to MD for work with it about 90 miles or so a day. I'm currently sitting at 104k miles, I've had one wheel bearing replaced under warranty and had the head unit replaced under extended Subaru warranty for display failure. Other than that, gas, oil changes and tire rotations. They are not exciting cars by any means but the do what there were made to do fairly well. Only real gripe is the fact that the more miles the car gets, the worse the gas mileage seems to get. I used to be able to average 34ish MPG, now 30-31 is about as good as it gets.
  7. A final follow up on the head unit. 2nd dealer confirmed the head unit was bad as soon as they looked at it, so my car sat at the dealer since Memorial day weekend waiting on the new head unit. I didn't mind as they gave me a brand new Ascent as my loaner and it saved about 2700 miles on my car over the last couple of months. So I am still under 100k miles!! They called last evening saying it was done, picked up it and there is a huge difference in the quality of the display. It's all about the quality of dealer!
  8. I agree, I have no problem getting a second opinion, but the car isn’t out of warranty. I purchased the 6yr/100k mike gold plus extended warranty when I purchased the car. The first dealer had no problem having me purchase a new head unit to fix the issue, but when I mentioned I have the extended warranty then it became “normal” operation. 9. It's really a shame, I've put 96,000 miles on this car in 4 years with minimal issues. One wheel bearing, the gas cap cover freezing shut, and now the radio. Just got off the phone with SOA, I have to take it to a second dealer now before they will or won't do anything.
  10. I reached out to them, we'll see if I get a response back. See the attached picture, is this not exactly what the TSB pic looks like??
  11. Took mine in to have it looked at before my extended warranty expires and all I got was it's normal operation. Even with the unit off you see the lines pretty boldly.
  12. What brand oil are you using? I would get the low oil light at about 3000-3500miles every oil changes using the recommended Mobil 1, I finally switch to Napa, (which is really Valvoline) and haven't had the low oil light come in in the last 55k miles plus.
  13. Let us know if you hear anything back. I haven't received any updates from them. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  14. I need to update, my original vote was for no oil usage, but just last week my low oil light came on so updated status: Mileage 21,xxx Oil used: 1QT over last 5500miles Going to let the dealer know so it's on record just in case it gets worse. First time I've had any issue with oil usage. I drive 90% highway.
  15. And if it wouldn't be such a pita I'd black out all the chrome on the whole car, just not a chrome guy.
  16. I'm not a chrome fan in general, I understand that's why they have chrome but not my cup of tea. I have had many vehicles with both stick on and in channel and I still prefer in channel for look as well as function.
  17. If someone is willing to risk spending $225 to see if they fit that'd be cool, but I'm not willing to do that. I still like discrete in channel much better, but that may never be an option unfortunately.
  18. Plus, IMO the in channel just look cleaner., my parents just ordered an outback and the dealer threw in the vent shades so I'll take a closer look st the Subaru ones when it comes in.
  19. Awesome to hear, hopefully its sooner rather than later.
  20. I know the Legacy isn't the most popular vehicle out there, but I would think there should be enough interest in a product like this to get them thinking about it. I sent my request. Keep me posted on what you find with the doors.
  21. Yeah, but everything I've found so far says not available for 2015 Legacy.
  22. Hi all. Purchased a 2015 Legacy 2.5i Premium a couple weeks ago. Does anyone have vent shades installed on their Legacy? I tried searching on here as well as google and can't find any yet. I don't really care for the Subaru ones with the chrome on them. I'm looking for the in channel shades which IMO look much better than the stick on frame shades. Thanks.
